Treats five accumulations (Wu Ji), breaks up phlegm masses, dissipates mass formations, and resolves both cold and heat accumulations.
Muxiang (Costi Rhizoma) [not roasted over fire], Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos) [each half tael], Jingsanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma) [finely sliced, soaked in wine overnight], Zhike (Aurantii Fructus) [pith removed, stir-fried with bran], Ezhu (Curcumae Longae Rhizoma) [finely sliced, one tael, stir-fried together with thirty shelled Baidu Dou (Crotonis Fructus) until the beans turn yellow, discard the beans], Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) [albedo removed], Chuanlianzi (Toosendan Fructus) [sliced, stir-fried], Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus) [stir-fried].
Mix equal parts of the above into a fine powder. Use vinegar and wheat paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Coat with extremely fine Cinnabar (Zhusha). Take twenty pills per dose, accompanied by stir-fried fresh ginger and salt.
Treats all deficiency-cold conditions in the elderly or those with deficient constitutions, as well as pain and distension caused by phlegm-accumulation masses.
Heifuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [two pieces, each weighing seven qian, peel and navel removed, hollowed out to form a pot-like shape], Sha (Borax) [three qian, dissolved in one cup of water, boiled dry on fire, weighed], Muxiang (Costi Rhizoma) [not roasted over fire, seven qian and a half], Poguzhi (Psoraleae Fructus) [lightly stir-fried], Bibai (Piperis Longi Fructus) [each one tael].
First, take the sublimated Borax powder and divide it into the hollowed-out Aconite "pot." Cover the opening with the powdered Aconite that was removed earlier. Wrap the medicine in dough made from flour and water, with a thickness of about half a finger. Slowly roast over charcoal fire until yellow. Remove the dough wrapper. Grind the contents together with Muxiang and other herbs into a fine powder. Use the powder from the original roasted dough wrapper, mix with vinegar and boil into a paste to form pills the size of mung beans. Take fifteen to twenty pills per dose after meals, delivered with fresh ginger decoction.
Treats cases where intestinal qi stagnates outside the blind membrane (peritoneum), flows into the hypochondriac region, causing rebellious qi and difficulty breathing. This condition may persist for days or years, proving untreatable by physicians. If prolonged, Ying and Wei qi stagnate and coagulate; eventually, turbid pathogens rot and ulcerate into abscesses/pus, often leading to death.
Hujiao (Piperis Nigris Fructus) [one hundred fifty grains], Muxiang (Costi Rhizoma) [not roasted over fire, two qian and a half], Quanxie (Scorpio) [remove toxicity, ten pieces].
Grind the above into a fine powder. Form pills the size of mung beans using millet drink. Take fifteen pills per dose, delivered with Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) decoction.
Treats six aggregations (Liu Ju), presenting like mass formations, moving up and down with qi, occurring at specific times. Symptoms include heart and abdominal pain radiating to the waist and hypochondrium, upper jiao qi obstruction, wheezing, cough, chest fullness and stifling sensation, lower abdominal distension, difficulty in urination and defecation, or recurrent diarrhea with profuse discharge.
Jingsanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Ezhu (Curcumae Longae Rhizoma), Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) [albedo removed], Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) [albedo removed], Huoxiangye (Agastaches Herba), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) [radicle removed, sliced, stir-fried], Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) [not roasted over fire], Yizhiren (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus) [each one tael and a half], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [honey-fried, three fen], Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma).
