(主上吐药也)
治缠喉风闭;先胸膈气紧,蓦然咽喉肿痛,手足厥冷,气不能通,顷刻不治。雄黄一钱,
郁金五分,巴豆七粒(去皮壳),冰、麝各少许为皮,醋糊为丸,如麻子大,清茶下五分;

(This formula primarily treats conditions requiring emesis.)
Treats "Chanting Throat Wind" (Chan Hou Feng) leading to throat obstruction: Symptoms initially present as tightness in the chest and diaphragm, sudden swelling and pain in the throat, coldness of the hands and feet, and inability to breathe. Without immediate treatment, it can be fatal. Take Xionghuang (Realgar) 1 qian, Yujin (Curcuma Aromatica Rhizome) 5 fen, Badou (Crotonis Fructus) 7 grains (peeled and husked), Bingpian (Borneol) and Shexiang (Musk) each in a small amount. Grind into an ultra-fine powder, mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of hemp seeds. Administer 5 fen with clear tea. If the throat is choked by phlegm, insert the medicine into the throat using a bamboo tube; expectoration of phlegm within moments will provide immediate relief. If vomiting does not occur, administer again.
Gengsheng notes: Badou should be processed to remove oil and use only the residue (Badou Shuang) for safe application.
Treats unbearable rebellious Qi rushing upward, also expelling parasites and resolving accumulations, and reducing edema. Take Hei Qianniu (Pharbitidis Semen) 5 qian (stir-fried), Binglang (Arecae Semen) 2.5 qian. Grind into powder. Take 1 qian per dose, administered with Zisu Tang (Perilla Decoction). For parasite accumulation or edema, administer with wine.
Treats stubborn phlegm that fails to resolve. Take Shiqing (Azurite) 1 liang, Shilv (Malachite) 5 qian. Process via water levigation (Shuifei) into fine powder. Mix with Shenqu paste (Medicated Leaven Paste) to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 10 pills with warm water. This induces vomiting of two to three bowls of phlegm without damaging healthy Qi. For sudden wind-phlegm stroke, use Sheng Shilv (Raw Malachite) 2 liang. Grind finely, dissolve in water, filter out impurities, dry slowly over low heat, grind again, and add Shexiang (Musk) 1 fen. Form pills the size of a bullet using Nuomifen paste (Glutinous Rice Flour Paste) and dry in the shade. For sudden stroke, divide one pill into two doses, taken with Bohe Jiu (Mint Wine); for other wind syndromes, take with Zhusha Jiu (Cinnabar Wine). Immediate efficacy is seen upon vomiting greenish saliva and evacuating foul matter. For children, use Tonglv (Verdigris) ground into powder, formed into pills the size of Euryale Seed (Qianshi) using vinegar and flour paste. Take one pill with Mint Wine per dose. Within moments, sticky phlegm is vomited up, showing miraculous effects.
Gengsheng notes: Upon careful analysis of the intent behind Sheng Shilv, it is suspected to be Sheng Tonglv (Raw Verdigris). Since Tonglv is sour and neutral, it primarily treats sudden wind-phlegm stroke. This formula was originally named Bilin Dan (Emerald Forest Pill), recorded under the entry for Tonglv in *Yapu* (Compendium of Medicines). When treating children, it is called Lvyun Dan (Green Cloud Pill), which is also recorded in this book.
Treats lower back pain with divine efficacy. Use Hei Qianniu (Pharbitidis Semen), half raw and half stir-fried. Take the finest sifted powder. Mix with water to form pills the size of Sophora Seeds (Wuzi). Coat with Liuhuang powder (Sulfur Powder). Take 50 pills on an empty stomach with Salt Water and wine.
Gengsheng notes: The design of this formula is extremely ingenious but is suitable only for individuals with strong constitution and chronic heavy dampness. One must not administer up to 50 pills abruptly; dosage should be adjusted according to the specific condition.
