Patient Chen, aged thirty. The pulse is fine and the complexion is pale. Urination is obstructed. This belongs to insufficiency of Middle Qi (vital energy of the spleen and stomach). The classic texts state that the Bladder (Zang-Fu organ) is the official of the metropolitan area, where body fluids are stored; it can discharge only through Qi transformation. If one were to use methods to drain Lung Qi to expand Qi transformation, this would be a treatment method for excess pathogens, which would certainly not be effective.
Sheng Huangqi (Radix Astragali Preparata, 3 qian), Chao Jiao Banxia (Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparata, 1.5 qian), Fuling (Poria, 3 qian), Baizhu (Radix Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 2 qian);

Patient Zhou, aged eighteen. Suffering from enuresis during youth. Premature sexual knowledge has caused the Kidney to fail in its function of storing and consolidating. This is not related to the Foot-Taiyang Fu meridian. Treatment should be discussed from the perspective of Heart and Kidney. This is also a sign of the exterior-interior correspondence between the Kidney and the Bladder.

Patient Fan, aged thirty-two. The pulse is fine, the body feels cold, and there is spontaneous sweating. This belongs to decline of Wei Yang (Defensive Yang).

Patient Long, aged thirty. Defensive Qi is loose, leading to sweating.

Patient Gui, aged thirty-six. Sweats profusely during sleep at night; upon waking, the whole body is as if bathed. This belongs to Night Sweats (Dao Han), which is transformed from Yin fluids. It is caused by Kidney deficiency failing to nourish internally. It is proposed to settle Yang to regulate deficiency.
Sheng Zuo Muli (Concha Ostreae, 3 qian), Longgu (Os Draconis, 3 qian), Fushen (Poria cum Radix Pini, 2 qian), Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, 1.5 qian), Maidong (Radix Ophiopogonis, 3 qian), Nanzao (Fructus Jujubae, 3 qian), Fang Dangshen (Radix Codonopsis, 1 qian).
Patient Pan, aged forty-three. Sweating with a large pulse. This is caused by labor injury damaging Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi).
