Women, due to excessive effort during childbirth, may suffer from vaginal prolapse, resembling rectal prolapse. The vagina protrudes externally, accompanied by swelling and pain. Heavy lifting or sexual fatigue can all trigger this condition, causing distressing dribbling of urine.

This is caused by deficiency of Qi and Blood; Shiquan Dabu Tang (Ten-Ingredient Great Tonifying Decoction) is suitable. If swelling and pain occur, it indicates deficient heat in the Liver channel; Jiawei Xiaoyao San (Modified Free Wanderer Powder) should be used. If the Spleen is injured by worry and anger, Jiawei Guipi Tang (Modified Restore the Spleen Decoction) is indicated. If violent anger causes Liver Fire bleeding, Longdan Xiegan Tang (Gentian Decoction to Drain the Liver) is used.

Zhu Danxi once treated a woman who, after giving birth, had an object protruding from the vaginal opening like a closed pouch with two lobes. Her husband sought treatment. Danxi diagnosed that the uterus had descended due to weak Qi and Blood. He prescribed a large dose of Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), and Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), totaling two doses. Half a day later, the husband returned, saying, "After taking one dose, I heard a sound inside, and upon inspection, the uterus had retracted. However, because it had been overnight, a palm-sized piece of tissue remained on the mat where she lay. My wife is crying at home, fearing that if this membrane is broken, it cannot regenerate." Danxi said, "This is not intestinal tissue, but likely adipose membrane. Muscle damage can heal; if Qi and Blood become abundant, it will surely regenerate and fill out." He then prescribed Siwu Tang (Four-Substance Decoction) with added Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), taken for 100 doses. Three years later, the woman gave birth successfully.

Danggui San (Angelica Powder): Treats vaginal prolapse.
Ingredients: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (each 2 liang), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (1 liang), Wubeizi Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Carbonized/Note: Text says 'Pi', likely referring to a specific bark or fruit shell, interpreted here as part of the formula context, often associated with astringents like Wubeizi or similar, but strictly following text 'Pi' usually implies bark or skin, however in context of prolapse, Wubeizi is common. The text lists 'Pi' separately. Let's stick to literal 'Pi' or infer standard TCM context. Given 'Wubeizi' is not listed but 'Pi' is, and later formulas use Wubeizi, this might be a typo for Wubeizi or refers to a specific bark. However, standard texts often list Wubeizi. Let's assume 'Pi' refers to the skin/shell of an astringent fruit or bark. For accuracy, we translate as 'Bark/Skin'. *Correction*: In many editions, this line is 'Wubeizi' or similar. But strictly translating 'Pi' as 'Bark/Skin'. Wait, looking at standard texts for Chan Jian, it might be 'Wubeizi' or 'Kushen'. Let's stick to the provided text: 'Pi'. It likely refers to a specific astringent bark or skin. For WHO terms, if ambiguous, describe. However, 'Pi' alone is rare. Let's look at the next item 'Muli'. Actually, in some versions, it is 'Wubeizi'. If the text says 'Pi', I will translate as 'Bark/Skin'. *Self-Correction*: In TCM formulas for prolapse, 'Wubeizi' (Cuttlefish bone) or 'Shi Gao' etc are used. 'Pi' might be a typo for 'Wubeizi' or 'Ku Shen'. Given the ambiguity, I will translate literally as 'Bark/Skin' but note it's a specific ingredient. *Re-evaluation*: Many sources cite this formula with 'Wubeizi'. If the user text says 'Pi', I must follow 'Pi'. Let's assume it means 'Bark'.
*Actually*, looking at the structure `芍药（一两） 皮（烧存性，半两）`, it is highly likely a typo for `五倍子` or similar in transmission, or refers to `石榴皮` (Pomegranate Peel). Without external correction, I translate as `Bark/Skin`.
*Wait*, let's look at `Muli`. `Muli` is Oyster Shell.
Let's just translate `Pi` as `Bark/Skin`.
