治目疾久者，此方殊妙。
当归 地黄 川芎 芍药 菊花 龙胆草（酒制） 决明子（炒） 防风 防己 香附
上用水煎服。如有云翳，加蜜蒙花、木贼。
一方 治眼久昏暗，血少，云翳，隐涩不能视物，服十贴必效。
菊花 白芷 大黄（炒） 白蒺藜 当归 防风 木贼 羌活 独活 薄荷 栀子 蝉
蜕赤芍 黄连（各等分）
一方 治雀目，不睹光明。
苍术（去皮，三两） 石决明（烧存性，一两） 为末，入猪肝内，沙锅米泔水煮熟，
先熏后吃。
又方 用苍术、川乌草共为末，猪肝和捣丸，烧熏眼。
治肝经不足，内受风热，上攻眼目，视物不明，常见黑花，当风多泪，瘾涩难开，或生
障翳，妇人血风时行，暴赤，一切眼疾并皆治之。
大黄（炮） 牛蒡子（炒） 川芎 菊花 白蒺藜（炒） 细辛 防风 玄参 山栀 黄
芩甘草（炙） 蔓荆子 荆芥 木贼（各五分） 草决明（七分半） 苍术（一钱）
水煎服。如久服，去大黄加桑白皮、知母、黄柏。
火硝（一两） 黄丹（净） 乳香 没药 雄黄 川芎 薄荷（各一钱）
上为细末，以芦筒吹一字入鼻中，痛立止。
治实热肿痛，加黄连，去芒硝。
甘草（五钱） 大黄（酒浸，一两） 芒硝（九分） 水煎热服。
又方 治牙风热肿痛。
升麻 白芷 防风 荆芥 薄荷 甘草（各等分） 水煎服。
For treating chronic eye diseases, this prescription is particularly effective.
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Longdancao (Gentianae Radix) (prepared with wine), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen) (stir-fried), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma).
Decoct the above herbs in water and take orally. If cloudiness (corneal opacity) is present, add Mimenghua (Descurainiae Semen et Herba) and Muzei (Equiseti Herba).
Another formula: Treats long-term dimness of vision, blood deficiency, cloudiness, and a sensation of hidden dryness and soreness making it difficult to see objects. Taking ten doses will surely be effective.
Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (stir-fried), Baijili (Tribuli Fructus), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Muzei (Equiseti Herba), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Duohuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus), Chantui (Cicadae Periostracum), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) (equal parts).
Another formula: Treats night blindness (Nyctalopia), inability to see light.
Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) (peeled, 3 liang), Shijueming (Haliotidis Concha) (calcined until carbonized but retaining its nature, 1 liang), grind into fine powder, place inside a pig liver, cook thoroughly in a clay pot using rice washing water. First fumigate the eyes, then consume.
Another method: Use Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) and Chuanyucao (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix) ground together into powder, mix with pig liver, pound into pills, burn to fumigate the eyes.
Treats insufficiency of the Liver Meridian, internal invasion by wind-heat, heat attacking upward to the eyes, causing unclear vision, frequent appearance of black spots before the eyes, excessive tearing when exposed to wind, hidden soreness and difficulty opening the eyelids, or formation of ocular membranes (cataracts/opacities). It also treats women suffering from blood-wind epidemic conditions, sudden redness of the eyes, and all kinds of eye diseases.
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (processed), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus) (stir-fried), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Baijili (Tribuli Fructus) (stir-fried), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Shanzhi (Gardeniae Fructus), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (honey-fried), Manjingzi (Viticis Semen), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Muzei (Equiseti Herba) (each 5 fen), Caojueming (Cassiae Semen) (7.5 fen), Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) (1 qian).
Decoct in water and take orally. For long-term use, remove Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) and add Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex).
Huoxiao (Natrii Nitras) (1 liang), Huangdan (Minii Oxidum) (purified), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha), Xionghuang (Realgar), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) (each 1 qian).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Using a reed tube, blow one character's amount (approx. 0.3-0.6g) into the nose; pain stops immediately.
(Toothache) All caused by heat pathogens, belonging to Stomach Heat, but can also involve Wind-Cold, parasites, Damp-Heat, or Wind-Heat.
For treating swelling and pain due to Excess Heat, add Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) and remove Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas).
Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (5 qian), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (soaked in wine, 1 liang), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas) (9 fen). Decoct in water and take hot.
Another formula: Treats tooth swelling and pain caused by Wind-Heat.
Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (equal parts). Decoct in water and take orally.
