Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder, sprinkle it onto the sore, cover with a few stalks of Jiedixin (Centella Asiatica stem), and apply Taiyi Gao (Taiyi Plaster) on top.
For applying to various initial swellings and toxins that are of a heat nature.
Hanhuashi (Halloysitum Rubrum), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (2 liang), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) (1 liang), Da Gancao (Licorice Root) (1 liang).

Another prescription: For treating various initial swellings and toxins where heat is rampant. Use Wubeizi (Chinese Gall) stir-baked until the original property remains, mixed in equal proportions with Baicaoshuang (Soot from Kitchen Chimney).
Another prescription: If Baicaoshuang is unavailable, add Dahuang Xiaoyan (Rhubarb processed with saltpeter), grind into powder, and mix with hot vinegar for external application; this is highly effective.
For treating malignant sores such as those on the brain and back, carbuncles, breast abscesses (Ru Yong), and groin abscesses (Bian Du).

If the pain from the sore is severe, add Danggui, Shaoyao, or Ruxiang; take three doses per day. After one dose, if dark blood discharges from the sore opening or sweating occurs over the whole body, these are signs of the medicine's efficacy. If the disease condition is severe, weigh out one liang of the medicine, decoct with one bowl of water, and take orally. Those not yet formed into pus will dissipate spontaneously; those already formed into pus will rupture spontaneously.
