Treats fractures and injuries, where the skin is broken and bones are exposed, hands and feet are shattered, and muscles and tendons are rotting and painful. It may even cause crying and shouting day and night, with various treatments failing to stop it. For long-term damage to hands and feet resulting in weakness during movement, regular use strengthens the sinews and bones (Jin Gu), treats the meridians and collaterals (Jing Luo), and generates Qi and Blood (Qi Xue). Take thirty pills each time, swallowed with wine decocted with fresh ginger, or with salt water. Time is not restricted; pregnant women must not take this.
Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma, six taels, processed with ginger juice, dried by roasting to yield six taels) Tudanggui (Angelica pubescens root, six taels, dried by roasting) Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, six taels, baked/roasted) Baiyangpi (Populus alba bark, six taels, dried by roasting) Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, four taels, not exposed to fire) Ezhu (Curcumae Rhizoma, two taels, dried by roasting) Dingxiang (Syzygii Flos, three taels) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, two taels, dried by roasting) Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, three taels) Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, four taels, dried by roasting) Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, three taels and a half, baked and peeled) Ruxiang (Olibanum, three qian, ground separately without roasting) Moyao (Myrrha, three qian, ground separately) Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, six taels, dried by roasting)
For the first four herbs—Gusuibu, Yao (referring to the aforementioned herbs), Danggui (Tudanggui), and Yangpi (Baiyangpi)—use locally sourced ones. The remaining eight herbs are ground into fine powder. Ruxiang and Moyao are processed separately. Mix with vinegar paste to form pills, sized like mung beans, coated with Zhusha (Cinnabar). Take thirty pills each time, washed down with warm wine. For external application, use natural juice of fresh ginger decocted with wine, or salt water is also acceptable; time is not restricted.
Treats contusions and fractures, shattered bones and severed tendons, pain with numbness and coldness, internal and external damage, stagnation of blood stasis (Yu Xue), external swelling and internal pain, joint pain and fatigue. For all types of injury pain, wash down with warm wine or vinegar soup as preferred; time is not restricted. Pregnant women must not take this.
Chilian (Polygoni Multiflori Radix, i.e., Heshouwu, one jin, dried by roasting) Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, one jin and seven taels, baked until cracked) Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, one jin, dried by roasting) Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, one jin, dried by roasting) Tudanggui (Angelica pubescens root, ten taels, dried by roasting) Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma, one jin, processed with ginger juice and dried by roasting) Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, ten taels, soaked in wine and dried by roasting) Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, eight taels, remove seedlings and leaves, dried by roasting) Chixiaodou (Vigna angularis Seed, two jin and two taels)
For the seven herbs—Chilian, Tiannanxing, Shaoyao, Danggui, Gusuibu, Niuxi, and Xixin—use locally sourced ones. Sift them together with the other herbs into powder. Boil flour paste with vinegar to form pills, sized like paulownia seeds, coated with Zhusha (Cinnabar). Take thirty pills each time, washed down with warm wine; vinegar soup is also acceptable. If the injury is in the upper body, take after meals; if in the lower body, take on an empty stomach. For severe injuries, do not restrict the timing. It can also be used alternately with Xiaohong Wan.
