Another prescription:
One teacup of honey, one tael of Natrii Sulfas (Piaoxiao), one qian of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), and one cup of yellow wine. Decoct together and take warm; very effective.
Note: The above two prescriptions are identical in *Fang Lun*, *Nan Ke*, and *Shishi Milu*. When using Natrii Sulfas, the dosage should be one tael; exercise caution.
For injuries caused by wind-cold-dampness, use this prescription:
Two taels of Fructus Foeniculi (Xiaohuixiang). Use a large bowl of high-quality genuine liquor (i.e., Erguotou baijiu) and one pig urinary bladder. Place the lightly stir-fried Fructus Foeniculi and the genuine liquor into the bladder, tie the opening securely, and boil in a clay pot with water until the liquor is completely evaporated. Remove, dry in the sun, and grind into powder. Take three qian each time, washed down with brown sugar water.
Another prescription: For injuries caused by excessive sexual activity, use this prescription:
Three qian of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Chuanjun/Dahuang), ground into powder. Wrap one chicken egg in mud and bake over fire until cooked. Remove the shell and yolk. Mix the Radix et Rhizoma Rhei powder with the egg white to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take two qian each time, washed down with genuine liquor. Prepare three batches in total; upon completion of the course, recovery will occur.
Another prescription:
Three qian of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Chuanjun), three qian of Concha Ostreae (Muli), and three qian of Semen Euryales (Qianshi). Grind all into fine powder. Bind with egg white to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take three qian each time, washed down with boiled water. Divide into three days for consumption; upon completion, recovery will occur.
Another prescription:
Use the original formula of Bawei Wan (Eight-Ingredient Pill), add seven Ginkgo Seeds (Baiguo), decoct with water, and take. Recovery occurs after three to five doses.
[General Case] Pain in the hands, pain in the feet, pain in the heart and abdomen, or pain in multiple areas of the body—how should this be treated? Treatment focuses on the Liver. Once Liver Qi unblocks, various pains naturally resolve. One must not treat head pain only by addressing the head, nor foot pain only by addressing the feet. Prescription:
Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) [2 qian], Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishao) [5 qian], Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu) [1 qian], Poria (Fuling) [5 qian], Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Cangzhu) [2 qian], Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao) [1 qian], Semen Coicis (Yiren) [5 qian], Fructus Gardeniae (Zhizi) [1 qian], Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Chenpi) [1 qian].
Decoct with water and take.
This prescription is a variation of Xiaoyao San (Free and Easy Wanderer Powder); it soothes the Liver while eliminating dampness and clearing heat. By treating one meridian, all meridians are thereby cured.
