Erectile dysfunction (impotence) and failure to rise are caused by excessive sexual indulgence in daily life, which depletes the Kidney Yin essence (Jing) every day, causing the Kidney Yang fire to diminish accordingly. This is because when Yin essence is lost, Yang fire also departs; this is an inevitable principle.
It is like a household: if there is no water in the kitchen, how can one cook? One must have water first before taking firewood or charcoal to boil rice; otherwise, it is merely an empty pot. The prescription is as follows:
Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia Root, 1 liang), Shan Yu Rou (Cornus Fruit, 4 qian), Yuan Zhi (Polygala Root, 1 qian), Ba Ji Tian (Morinda Officinalis Root, 1 qian), Rou Cong Rong (Cistanche Stem, 1 qian), Du Zhong (Eucommia Bark, 1 qian), Rou Gui (Cinnamon Twig, 2 qian), Fu Shen (Poria with Hostwood, 2 qian), Ren Shen (Ginseng Root, 3 qian), Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry, 3 qian), Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome, 5 qian).
Decoct with water and take orally.
Effect begins after one dose, strength improves after two doses, and efficacy becomes miraculous after three doses. This prescription uses Shu Di Huang to replenish Yin essence, thereby generating Yang fire without worrying about the disaster of excessive heat burning. Naturally, it can be used to boil soup for drinking or rice for eating, ensuring that the pot does not scorch, boil dry, or risk bursting.
For this syndrome, use Qu Ling Wan (Remove Bell Pill):
Take 1 jin of fresh ginger, extract its juice, and soak Xiao Hui Xiang (Fennel Fruit) in the ginger juice overnight. Add 2 liang of Qing Yan (Green Salt), mix evenly, stir-fry together, and grind into powder resembling rice grains. Form pills using wine paste. Take 30 pills per dose, delivered with warm wine or rice drink.
For severe pain in the testicles (Kidney Substances), use the following prescription:
Ze Xie (Alisma Rhizome, 1 qian), Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel, 1 qian), Chi Fu Ling (Red Poria, 1 qian), Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex, 5 fen), Xiao Hui Xiang (Fennel Fruit, 5 fen), Zhi Ke (Aurantium Fruit, 5 fen), Cang Zhu (Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome, 5 fen), Shan Zha (Hawthorn Fruit, 4 fen), Su Geng (Perilla Stem, 4 fen).
Decoct with fresh ginger and water, and take orally.
Another prescription:
Jiu Chao Da Hui Xiang (Wine-fried Anise Star), Jiu Chao Xiao Hui Xiang (Wine-fried Fennel Fruit), Chi Shi Zhi (Red Halloysite, dosage missing), Guang Mu Xiang (Vladimiria Root), all in equal parts. Grind into fine powder and mix evenly. Use Wu Mei Rou (Mume Fruit Flesh) mashed into a paste as a binder to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 15 pills on an empty stomach, delivered with a decoction of green onion and wine. Effect is immediate.
For this syndrome, use the following prescription:
Xiao Hui Xiang (Fennel Fruit) and Zhu Ling (Polyporus, equal parts), lightly stir-fried and ground into powder. Take on an empty stomach with salt water delivery (original text lacks specific dosages).
Additionally, applying hot salt compresses is highly effective.
Use the following prescription:
Tian Hua Fen (Trichosanthes Root, 5 qian), Sheng Gan Cao (Raw Licorice Root, 2 liang), Jin Yin Hua (Honeysuckle Flower, 4 liang), Pu Gong Ying (Dandelion Herb, 2 liang), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 2 liang).
Decoct with water and take orally.
Recovery occurs after two doses. This prescription has remarkable efficacy in detoxification, treating various sores and ulcers regardless of their location. [Jin Yin Hua can internally resolve carbuncle toxins, but if not used in large quantities, its power is weak and success is difficult. A single herb, Sheng Gan Cao, is sufficient for detoxification; moreover, when combined with Jin Yin Hua, it further disperses pathogenic factors and strengthens healthy Qi. Pu Gong Ying enters the Yangming channel and can dissipate nodules and expel pathogens; Tian Hua Fen is a supreme remedy for eliminating phlegm; Dang Gui invigorates blood, which is its specialized function. Now that blood circulation is restored, the carbuncle heals itself. This is why this prescription is both unique and broadly effective.]
