[Original Text] Method 1: Treats spermatorrhea (involuntary emission of semen), white turbidity (cloudy urine or discharge of white fluid from the urethral meatus), and functional decline caused by various cold conditions. During the period between Xu hour and Hai hour (7:00 PM to 11:00 PM), when Yin Qi is flourishing and Yang Qi is declining, use one hand to cup the external kidneys (testes) and the other hand to rub the area below the navel eighty-one times. Then switch hands, performing nine times with each hand. Visible effects will appear after nine days, and success will be achieved after eighty-one days.

[Explanation] To treat male spermatorrhea, white turbidity, kidney Yang deficiency, and the inability to generate essence for reproduction due to deficiency-cold constitution. At Xu-Hai hours (7:00 PM–11:00 PM), when Yin energy is strong and Yang energy is weak, use one hand to cup the scrotum and the other hand to rub the Dantian area below the navel eighty-one times, then switch hands, rubbing nine times with each hand. Effects can be seen in nine days, and cure can be achieved in eighty-one days.

[Original Text] Method 2: To treat spermatorrhea, arrange the bed to be short and narrow; sleep in a posture resembling a curved bow; bring both knees together towards the navel, or lie on either the left or right side. Use a hand to support the scrotum, place one hand over the Dantian, and strictly maintain a calm and pure mind while lying down. Abstain from thoughts of sexual intercourse. If essence can be secured and not leaked, physical health can be preserved.

[Explanation] To treat spermatorrhea, the bed can be made shorter, allowing one to curl up on the narrow surface in a posture like a bent bow; alternatively, bend both knees towards the navel and lie on the left or right side. Support the scrotum with one hand and press the Dantian below the navel with the other hand. Abstain from desires and sexual activities, thereby securing essence so it does not leak, ensuring physical and mental health, and preventing further spermatorrhea.

Summary:
This section proposes two Dao Yin (guiding and pulling) methods for treating spermatorrhea. The first method involves cupping the scrotum and rubbing the Dantian, following the number "nine," which represents Yang. It aims to strengthen Yang and tonify essence. A later rhyme states: "One rub, one cup, switching left and right, the merit of nine-nine ensures True Yang does not stray." Practical experience demonstrates that this method has effects such as securing essence, tonifying the kidneys, regulating Yin and Yang, and treating spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation, impotence, and male azoospermia. For nearly a thousand years, it has been widely popular among various Dao Yin schools as an effective essence-securing technique. The second method is lying on the side with legs bent, supporting the scrotum, and pressing the Dantian. This method emphasizes that treating spermatorrhea requires adopting a side-sleeping position daily, which is highly correct. Supine and prone positions easily cause compression of the penis leading to erection, which is a common cause of nocturnal emissions. By lying on the side with legs bent and supporting the scrotum, pressure and friction between the legs are reduced, thereby preventing spermatorrhea. The author finally emphasizes that preventing and treating spermatorrhea requires calming the mind and stabilizing the will, and abstaining from all sexual desires and acts. Only in this way can essence be secured, and physical and mental health maintained. This viewpoint, emphasizing psychological therapy, is indeed the principle for preventing and treating spermatorrhea. Only by moderating sexual life and abstaining from masturbation can the efficacy of Dao Yin exercises be guaranteed. When practicing this Dao Yin exercise, it should be combined with breathing techniques and focusing intention on the Dantian for better results.
