[Original Text] Method 1: Pull the toes of both feet, hold for five breaths then stop, guiding the Qi in the abdomen. It eliminates hernia (Shan Jia) and abdominal masses, and promotes the free flow of the bowels and bladder.
[Explanation] Hold and pull the toes of both feet with your hands, practice Qi circulation for five breaths then stop, guide the Qi to reach the abdomen, making the Qi in the abdomen move. This can eliminate hernia and abdominal masses, promoting the free flow of urination and defecation.
[Original Text] Method 2: Sit, extend both legs, grasp the big toes of both feet with two hands, so that the feet are above and the head is below, pull with extreme force, hold for five breaths then stop, guide the Qi in the abdomen, allowing it to circulate throughout the body. It eliminates hernia and abdominal masses, and promotes the free flow of all orifices. Frequent practice yields easy results; long-term practice makes one mentally clear, intelligent, and slender.
[Explanation] Sit on the ground, extend both legs, grasp the two big toes of the feet with both hands, so that the feet are up and the head is down, pull as much as possible, practice Qi circulation for five breaths then stop, let the Qi reach the abdomen, then guide the Qi in the abdomen to circulate throughout the body. This can treat hernia and abdominal mass diseases, promoting the free flow of the nine orifices. Practicing this repeatedly, long-term practice can make one's spirit bright, intelligent, and elegant.
Summary:
This section uses the method of grasping the big toes of both feet with hands, practicing Qi circulation, guiding the Qi in the abdomen, and allowing it to circulate throughout the body to treat hernia. The method is simple; practicing it also has effects such as making one mentally clear, intelligent, and elegant.
[Original Text] Method 1: Use a high pillow, lie supine, keep the mind calm and the Qi settled; the swelling will subside naturally.
[Explanation] Lie supine, place the pillow high, and regulate breathing with a calm mind and settled Qi; this allows the swelling and pain of hemorrhoids to dissipate spontaneously.
[Original Text] Method 2: Place one foot on the ground, flex the other knee, embrace the area below the Dubi (ST35) acupoint with both hands, and pull urgently towards the body with extreme force. Alternate left and right, twenty-eight times each. It eliminates hemorrhoids, Wu Lao (Five Exhaustions), and stagnation of Qi at Zusanli (ST36).
[Explanation] Place one foot on the ground, flex the other leg at the knee, embrace the area below the Dubi (ST35) acupoint at the knee with both hands, and pull as hard as possible towards the abdomen, alternating left and right, twenty-eight times each. This can eliminate hemorrhoids, Wu Lao (Five Exhaustions) disease, and the inability of Qi from the Zusanli (ST36) meridian to descend.
[Original Text] Method 3: Squat-sit, bring knees together, spread feet apart, hold breath twice. Treats five types of hemorrhoids.
[Explanation] Squat-sit, bring knees together, spread feet apart, hold breath for two cycles. Treats five types of hemorrhoids.
[Original Text] Method 4: Embrace feet with both hands, keep head still, face feet towards mouth to receive exhaled Qi, until Qi disperses through all bone joints, perform twenty-one times. To practice, grasp sides of the body, pull with extreme force, keep waist still. Eliminates cold in limbs, upper and lower waist, marrow, cold blood, tendon tension, and stifling hemorrhoids.
[Explanation] Embrace feet with both hands, keep head still, hold breath and practice Qi circulation, face feet towards mouth to receive exhaled Qi, until Qi disperses through all bone joints, perform twenty-one times in total. Then grasp the waist, pull sides of the body with force, keep waist still. This can eliminate cold in limbs, upper and lower waist, and marrow, cold blood, tendon tension, and stifling hemorrhoids.
[Original Text] Method 5: Tread on each other's feet, press tightly towards the genital end, cup knees with both hands, push/pull to extreme force in both directions, complete fourteen cycles; assume posture swinging body to sides for fourteen cycles, thrust waist forward and backward seven times. Eliminates Heart Lao (Heart Exhaustion) and hemorrhoid disease.
[Explanation] Press soles of feet against each other, press tightly towards the perineum/genital area, cup knees with both hands, push/pull with maximum effort to both sides for fourteen times; after completion, swing body to both sides for fourteen times, then move waist forward and backward seven times. This can eliminate Heart Lao (Heart Exhaustion), hemorrhoids, and cold knees.
Summary:
This section uses dynamic and static Daoyin methods to treat hemorrhoids.
1. During the period of hemorrhoid swelling and pain:
One should rest in bed, calm the mind and settle intentions, avoid restless activity and friction of the local area; the swelling will subside naturally.
2. Prevention and treatment of hemorrhoids during normal times:
One should exercise the limbs more, or place one foot on the ground while flexing the other knee; or grasp feet with hands, keep head still, face mouth towards feet to receive Qi, then use hands to press waist and sway side to side; or bring knees together, spread feet, hold breath and practice Qi circulation; or tread feet against each other, near the perineum, grasp knees with force, then swing body to sides.
These exercises can unblock Qi and Blood, relax the waist and hips, and improve local blood circulation in the rectum and anus. If combined with "anal lifting" (Ti Gang), the efficacy is better. "Anal lifting" refers to consciously contracting the anus upwards, causing the anal sphincter to contract and relax, which has good preventive and therapeutic effects on hemorrhoids. *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang* states "the anus should often be gathered"; Qigong practice mostly advocates gathering or lifting the anus. This not only prevents and treats hemorrhoids but also helps converge internal Qi and direct it into the spine. Generally, perform thirty times each morning and evening.
