First method: Extend one hand fully, place the palm upward in a joined position, and with the other hand grasp the foot to frequently pull it outward to the limit of exertion. Perform this fourteen times (two sevens), and repeat on the opposite side. Keep the hands still and perform lateral pulling motions fourteen times. This removes neck stiffness, cephalic wind-induced vertigo, throat obstruction (Hou Bi), cold sensation in the inner arm, and hemiplegia.
Second method: Push out both cheeks with the hands while keeping the hands still; draw the elbows to create tension, and apply similar tension internally within the waist. After holding, release the sides of the ribs, turn the head outward, and allow the qi of the elbows, arms, and waist to dissipate. Complete the exertion, rise only when feeling extreme stifling, and perform seven round trips. This treats throat obstruction (Hou Bi).
Third method: On one's natal day, at the beginning of combing hair, tap the teeth nine times and recite the secret mantra inwardly: "The Great Emperor scatters spiritual energy, the Five Elders return to truth, the Niwan Palace holds mysterious brilliance, preserving essence for long existence. To the left, constrain the moon; to the right, draw the root of the sun. The Six Harmonies are purified, and all diseases heal." Then swallow saliva three times. Practicing this regularly ensures teeth do not hurt, hair remains firm and white-free, and the head does not hurt.
Fourth method: Sit facing east, hold breath four times, and peck the teeth up and down thirty-six times to treat toothache.
Fifth method: Whenever one feels stiffness and rigidity in the back, regardless of the season, retract the throat into the inner arm, look upward while straining the arms and pushing them up, and press the head to the left and right sides. Perform fourteen times on each side, then pause once. Wait until blood circulation and qi movement stabilize before resuming. Start slowly and increase intensity later; do not start fast and slow down. If there is no illness, practice during these three times: morning rising, noon, and sunset. If used for treating disease, perform an additional fourteen times. This eliminates chills and fever, pain in the spine, waist, neck, and nape, wind-bi syndrome, sores in the mouth, wind affecting the teeth, and dizziness, ultimately removing them completely.
Sixth method: Sit facing east, hold breath three times, and pinch the two nostrils with the fingers. Treats nasal ailments. Sit with legs crossed like a winnowing basket to treat nasal ailments, clear lower limb carbuncles, remove nasal discharge and saliva, open the nasal passages, and restore the sense of smell. Long-term continuous practice allows hearing in all ten directions.
Seventh method: Squat with knees together and feet spread apart, hold breath five times, to treat nasal ulcers.
Eighth method: Sit upright with the waist straightened, inhale slowly through the nose, and pinch the nose with the right hand. This clears dim vision and excessive tearing. Slowly close the eyes and exhale; this also removes nasal polyps and deafness. For Shanghan (Cold Damage) causing headache and confusion, treatment should be guided by the extent of sweating.
Ninth method: Sit facing east, hold breath three times, and pinch the two nostrils with the fingers to treat nasal polyps.
