Elsholtziae Herba (Xiangru), Lablab Seed (Bian Dou, stir-fried), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo, stir-fried with ginger juice), Poria (Fuling), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao). Decoct in water and take warm.

Generates fluids and relieves thirst; treats damage to Yuan Qi by heat, manifesting as shortness of breath, fatigue, dry mouth, and sweating.
Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 1 qian), Ophiopogonis Tuber (Maidong, 2 qian), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi, 8 fen). Decoct in water and take.
When Fire Qi is excessive, it controls Metal, thereby cutting off the source of generation for Cold Water (Kidney Water). Thus, shortness of breath, fatigue, and sweating are primary symptoms of the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. Ginseng tonifies Qi and serves as the Sovereign herb, following the principle that "when the Lung is damaged, its Qi must be benefited"; Schisandrae Fructus is sour and astringent, capable of gathering the dispersed Metal of the Lung; Ophiopogonis Tuber is sweet and cold, moistening the dryness and depletion of fluids in the Lung Meridian. These three herbs support the organ being overcome, preventing Fire Pathogens from causing harm. In years where the ruling Qi belongs to Fire, during seasons of dry and hot weather, this is especially a crucial medicine.

Treats latent summerheat causing thirst, vomiting, fever, deficient pulse, and spontaneous sweating.

Treats latent heat-induced vomiting and diarrhea in adults and children, accompanied by deficiency vexation and mental disturbance.
Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Pinelliae Tuber (Banxia, soaked in boiling water seven times), Elsholtziae Herba (Xiangru) (each 8 fen), Perillae Folium (Suye), Chaenomelis Fructus (Mu Gua), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Guangpi), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo), Mume Fructus (Wumei), Lablab Seed (Bian Dou) (each 7 fen), Poria (Fuling, 1 qian), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie, 6 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 3 fen). Decoct together with Jujubae Fructus (Zao) and Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang).

Decoct in water and take cold.

Treats latent summerheat heat, as well as diarrhea, vexation, thirst, and difficult urination caused by Stomach dampness.
Poria (Chifuling), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie), Polyporus (Zhuling), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, stir-fried), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guangui), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi). Add Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang) and Junci Medulla (Dengxin), decoct in water and take warm.

Generally, when one suffers from heatstroke, the pathogen first affects the Heart, causing sudden coma. One must absolutely not drink cold water or lie on wet ground, as this will block the free flow of Qi in the Sanjiao and clash with the summerheat Qi, bringing disaster within moments. The method is to first administer hot water or child's urine (Tongbian), and use cloth soaked in hot water to moxibustion/iron the navel and Qihai (CV6) acupoint, allowing warmth to penetrate the abdomen. Wait for the patient to regain consciousness before administering medicine. If one suddenly faints while traveling, urgently move them to a cool and shady place, and administer child's urine or stirred earth slurry (Di Jiang) to drink.
