Eagle-mouth disease (Oral Candidiasis in infants) arises from fetal heat accumulating in the Heart and Spleen, steaming upwards to the mouth. White debris covers the entire tongue, resembling the beak of a goose. In more severe cases, there is a membrane under the infant's tongue, resembling a pomegranate seed, attached to the root of the tongue, causing speech impediment and inability to move the tongue; it can be lanced.
