**Di Gu Pi (Cortex Lycii), Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba), Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis), and Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma)** are taken in equal proportions, sliced. Each time use two liang, decoct with water for fumigation and washing. The effect is achieved when blood appears all over the body. It is essential to have ample medicinal liquid and soak/wash for a long time for best results.
Treats severe ulceration of sores covering the whole body; apply this medicine. If not ulcerated, do not apply.
Hei Gou Ji (Rhizoma Cibotii) (two liang, substitute with Du Zhong if unavailable), She Chuang Zi (Fructus Cnidii) (one liang), Han Shui Shi (Lapis Calcitae), Bai Fan (Alumen exsiccatum), Liu Huang (Sulfur) (each two liang), Po Xiao (Natrii Sulfas). Grind into fine powder, mix with lard from the twelfth lunar month or sesame oil, and apply externally.
Take one cheng of cypress leaves from branches facing southeast, with one bucket of water, boil three times, remove dregs, and store in an urn. Whenever needed, decoct can sand (Bombyx Batryticatus residue) and take orally. Initially, the taste is bitter and astringent; after three to five days, it becomes sweet. After ten days, heaviness in the four limbs occurs, accompanied by passage of red and white dysentery-like stool. After one month, sores and pustules erupt on the body and break open. At this point, apply Wu Long San (Black Dragon Powder) topically.
Wu Long Wei (i.e., inverted hanging dust/soot) (two qian), Wu Ji Zi Pi (Shell of Chicken Egg). Grind together into fine powder and apply topically.
Another method: Use Cang Er Ye (Folium Xanthii) as the principal herb, Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) as the assistant herb. Additionally, decoct Wu Li Yu (likely referring to a specific fish or amphibian, contextually treated here as a medicinal ingredient) with wine, grind finely into a paste, and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 50-60 pills per dose, increasing to 70-80 pills. Swallow with hot clear tea, three times daily. Recovery occurs within one to two months; adding Zi Ping (Spirodela polyrrhiza) is especially effective.
Treats Feng Da Chuang (Leprosy/Majestic Wind Sores) and various wind-induced red and white patches (Vitiligo), with miraculous efficacy.
Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) (one jin), Man Jing Zi (Fructus Viticis), Niu Bang Zi (Fructus Arctii), He Shou Wu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), Yu Yu Liang (Lapis Haematitae), Huang Jing Zi (Fructus Viticis - *Note: likely variant or typo for Man Jing Zi or similar*, kept as Huang Jing Zi), Gou Qi Zi (Fructus Lycii), She Chuang Zi (Fructus Cnidii) (each three liang), Fang Feng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba), Jiao Ci (Acanthopanacis Cortex - *Note: often refers to Thorny Branches*), Hu Ma Zi (Semen Sesami Nigrum) (half raw, half cooked), Cang Er Zi (Fructus Xanthii) (each ten liang), Xiang Bai Zhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (one liang five qian). Grind into fine powder. Make a paste by pounding and decocting Zao Jiao (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis), then add the aforementioned herbs to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take fifty pills per dose, swallowed with tea or wine as preferred.
Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's size and deficiency/excess condition. For severe and urgent symptoms, first administer Zai Zao San (Rebirth Powder) to purge, then administer this medicine. Strictly avoid strong-flavored foods, salt, vinegar, Sichuan pepper, nuts, eggplant, and fried, roasted, or grilled items. Only consume bland foods, plain congee, and boiled bland vegetables. Alternatively, cook Wu Shao She (Zaocys) or Bai Hua She (Bungarus multicinctus) in plain wine and eat them to assist the medicinal power.
Hu Ma Zi (Semen Sesami Nigrum), Niu Bang Zi (Fructus Arctii), Man Jing Zi (Fructus Viticis), Gou Qi Zi (Fructus Lycii) (these four ingredients are stir-fried until black, each one liang), Bai Ji Li (Fructus Tribuli), Gua Lou Gen (Radix Trichosanthis), Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis), Fang Feng (Radix Saposhnikoviae). Grind all into fine powder. For every one liang of this powder, add one qian of Qing Fen (Calomel/Hg2Cl2), mix well. Take one qian per dose, mixed with clear tea. Take once in the morning, noon, and evening. After five to seven days of administration, foul saliva will first emerge from the gum spaces, followed by whole-body pain and drowsiness resembling drunkenness. Finally, the discharge of foul, accumulated waste through defecation indicates efficacy.
