Yuyuliang (Haematitum), treats blood obstruction, zhaj masses (abdominal masses), red and white leukorrhea, eliminates cold-heat, vexation, fullness, cough, qi reversal, and pathogenic injury.

It is born by absorbing the yang qi of the earth; therefore, its flavor is sweet and pungent, nature is warm, and it is non-toxic. It enters the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian, Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Meridian, and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. With the efficacy of sweet-warm tonification and pungent-dispersion, combined with heavy-settling power, this is what is meant by "heavy agents can dispel timidity." Thus, it can eliminate various diseases, aid in transformation and nourishment, tonify Heart Qi from above, and fill the Lower Jiao from below, calming palpitations and stabilizing the Hun and Po spirits.

Zhi Shiyong (Fluorite), endowed with the color of the South (Fire), has effects specifically on the Blood aspect. It treats wind-cold in the uterus of women leading to infertility for ten years; treats cold-heat pathogenic factors in men causing severe cough and qi reversal; calms palpitations, tonifies Heart deficiency, fills the Lower Jiao, especially stabilizes the Hun and Po spirits, and dissipates carbuncles and swellings. Prepared by decocting with ginger and vinegar. Baishiying (Quartz) treats cough and qi reversal, chronic cold in the chest and diaphragm, regulates Xiao Ke (wasting-thirst syndrome), impotence and insufficiency, regulates Qi and dispels wind-bi, directs Qi downward and promotes urination, treats Fei Wei (lung atrophy) and Fei Yong (lung abscess), stops vomiting of pus and hemoptysis.

Shizhongru (Gypsum Fibrosum), formed by sensing the essence of copper, has a sweet and sour flavor, a very cold nature, and is non-toxic. Sweet-cold can eliminate accumulated heat; combined with sourness, the Fire naturally condenses. Furthermore, receiving Metal Qi, it can pacify the Liver and treat blindness. By pacifying the Liver and extinguishing Fire, vision naturally becomes clear.

Kongqing (Azurite), grows in places with copper, and can transform copper, iron, lead, and tin into gold. Specifically treats red swelling and Qing Mang (blindness), restores brightness and removes darkness. Its juice is an immortal elixir for eye drops, and its shell is also a key medicine for grinding away nebulae. Shidan (Chalcanthite), also known as Cui Danfan. Treats Shu Lou (scrofula) and malignant sores, as well as Hou E Du (throat swelling/toxin), treats Beng Zhong Xia Xue (metrorrhagia), Yin Shi Chuang (ulceration of the genitalia), expels Wind-phlegm, eliminates epilepsy, kills parasites, and strengthens teeth.

Shi Huhuang (Sulfur), born by inheriting Fire Qi; therefore, its flavors are sour and salty, nature is very hot, and it is toxic. The aroma and flavor are dense, belonging to Pure Yang substances. It enters the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Meridian. With its salty-warm nature, it can soften hardness and warm the middle, dispel dampness and kill parasites, serving as a need for strengthening Yang. However, stone properties are inherently fierce, and Sulfur is even more drying, fierce, and harsh. Knowing only its rapid ability to restore Yang but ignoring its deep harm, it should only be used externally for sores and scabies. If taken internally for cultivation, caution is advised.

Shi Liu Huang (Refined Sulfur), melted by fire and poured into water, processed for oral administration. It is the essence of Extreme Yang, capable of transforming Five Yin strange objects, tonifying the True Fire of the Mingmen (Gate of Life), strengthening sexual function, and is particularly effective for Cold deficiency of the Lower Jiao and impending exhaustion of Yuan Qi. Contraindicated in cold diarrhea. For Spleen-Stomach weakness, Yin-Du Shang Han (cold damage with yin toxicity), and critical conditions nearing death, it produces immediate results. It mainly treats female Yin swelling, carbuncles, hemorrhoids, lower body sores, cold Xi masses in the hypochondrium, cough and qi reversal, blocked hemorrhoidal blood, kills scabies mites, strengthens sinews and bones, treats alopecia, Xin Fu Xi masses (abdominal masses), cold pain in feet and knees, unblocks Wind constipation in the elderly, rescues sudden collapse of Yang Qi, still eliminates Rejection Cold, and bears the title of General. Its function is to break evil and return to righteousness, clear stagnation and restore purity, drive out Yang Jing, transform Yin Po, and generate Hun. Stop when the disease is cured; overdose is inadvisable.

Note: Sulfur, the essence of Pure Yang, can tonify True Fire, rescue critical conditions, blacken hair and beard, and truly prolong life. However, if properly processed and refined, and suitable for those who abstain from sexual activity, otherwise, the disaster will be profound.
