The center of the sole is Yongquan (KI1, Gushing Spring), RanGu (KI2, Valley Before the Heel) is located one cun anterior to the medial malleolus, TaiXi (KI3, Great Stream) is posterior to the ankle on the upper part of the calcaneus, DaZhong (KI4, Great Bell) is at the edge of the heel behind the calcaneus, ShuiQuan (KI5, Water Spring) is sought one cun below TaiXi, ZhaoHai (KI6, Illuminated Sea) is accurately located four fen below the medial malleolus, FuLiu (KI7, Returning Flow) is two cun posterior and superior to the ankle, JiaoXin (KI8, Connecting Belief) is connected two cun posterior and superior to FuLiu. These two acupoints are separated only by a tendon anteriorly and posteriorly (FuLiu is adjacent to the bone anteriorly, JiaoXin is adjacent to the bone posteriorly, and they are separated by only one tendon). ZhuBin (KI9, Building Guest) is located five cun above the medial malleolus, YinGu (KI10, Yin Valley) is in the space between the tendons when the knee is bent below the knee. HengGu (KI11, Horizontal Bone), DaHe (KI12, Great Brightness), and QiXue (KI13, Qi Chamber), SiMan (KI14, Four Fullnesses) and ZhongZhu (KI15, Central Pouring) are also connected. These five acupoints ascend with an interval of one cun each, located five fen lateral to the midline. HuangShu (KI16, Blind Tube) ascends with an interval of one cun, but is located half a cun lateral to the umbilicus. ShangQu (KI17, Upper Curve), ShiGuan (KI18, Stone Gate), and YinDu (KI19, Yin Capital), TongGu (KI20, Hollow Valley) and YouMen (KI21,幽幽门 Gate) are five connected acupoints. These five acupoints are taken with a vertical interval of one cun, each located five fen anterior to the midline. BuLang (KI22, Step Corridor), ShenFeng (KI23, Divine Seal), and LingXu (KI24, Spiritual Void), ShenCang (KI25, Divine Storage) and YuFu (KI26, Jade Mansion) are placed therein. The ascent is one cun six fen, lateral to the second cun; observe YuFu and XuanJi two cun apart.
[Note] Yongquan (KI1) is located in the depression in the center of the foot. Extend the leg and flex the foot; curl the toes into the dimple-like center; this is the location of the acupoint. Ascending from Yongquan along the medial malleolus of the foot, in the depression below the large bone anteriorly, is RanGu (KI2). From RanGu, move five fen posterior to the medial malleolus of the foot, in the depression of the pulsating artery on the upper part of the calcaneus, is TaiXi (KI3). From TaiXi, move posterior to the heel, between the two tendons on the upper part of the large bone in the center of the heel, is DaZhong (KI4). From DaZhong, move one cun below TaiXi, below the medial malleolus, is ShuiQuan (KI5). From ShuiQuan, move four fen below the medial malleolus of the foot; in the depression where there are tendons anteriorly and posteriorly, the malleolar bone superiorly, and cartilage inferiorly, is ZhaoHai (KI6). From ZhaoHai, move posterior to the medial malleolus of the foot; excluding approximately two cun above the malleolus, in the depression adjacent to the bone anteriorly, is FuLiu (KI7). From FuLiu, slant outward and ascend posterior to FuLiu for approximately two cun, adjacent to the tendon posteriorly, is JiaoXin (KI8). From JiaoXin, slant outward and ascend past SanYinJiao (SP6, Three Yin Intersection); in the middle of five cun, is ZhuBin (KI9). "Shuan" is the common name for the calf muscle. Ascending from ZhuBin, posterior to the medial condyle of the tibia below the knee, under the large tendon and above the small tendon, pressing yields a response, obtained by flexing the knee, is YinGu (KI10).
Ascending from YinGu, entering the abdomen, in the center of HengGu (KI11) above the yin region, curved like the center of an inverted moon, five fen lateral to the midline of the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), is HengGu (KI11). Ascending one cun from HengGu, is DaHe (KI12), also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from DaHe, is QiXue (KI13), also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from QiXue, is SiMan (KI14). Also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from SiMan, is ZhongZhu (KI15), also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from ZhongZhu, is HuangShu (KI16), directly lateral to the umbilicus, five fen from the center of the umbilicus. Ascending two cun from HuangShu, is ShangQu (KI17), also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from ShangQu, is ShiGuan (KI18). Also five fen lateral to the midline. Ascending one cun from ShiGuan, is YinDu (KI19), also five fen lateral to the midline. In the depression ascending one cun from YinDu, is TongGu (KI20), also five fen lateral to the midline. In the depression ascending one cun from TongGu, is YouMen (KI21), also five fen lateral to the midline. In the depression ascending one cun six fen from YouMen, two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is BuLang (KI22). Ascending one cun six fen from BuLang, also two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is ShenFeng (KI23). In the depression ascending one cun six fen from ShenFeng, also two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is LingXu (KI24). In the depression ascending one cun six fen from LingXu, also two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is ShenCang (KI25). In the depression ascending one cun six fen from ShenCang, also two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is [Text missing/erroneous in source, contextually YuFu]. Ascending from [YuFu] to JuGu (SI12, Shoulder Bone), below and flanking XuanJi (CV15, Jade Button) of the Ren Mai, in the depression two cun lateral to the midline, obtain while supine, is its location.
