The Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian originates below the little toe, slants towards the Yongquan (Springing Spring) acupoint in the center of the sole, emerges below the Ran Gu (Ravine Valley) acupoint, follows the posterior aspect of the medial malleolus, branches into the heel, ascends along the medial aspect of the calf, emerges from the medial margin of the thigh, penetrates the spine, belongs to the Kidney organ, and connects with the Bladder organ. Its straight branch ascends from the Kidney, penetrates the Liver organ and diaphragm, enters the Lung organ, follows the throat, and flanks the root of the tongue. Its branch emerges from the Lung, connects with the Heart organ, and pours into the chest.
The Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian (Note: The song text erroneously refers to Foot-Taiyang, but context implies Kidney), starting from the little toe, slants towards the Yongquan acupoint; below the Ran Gu acupoint and behind the medial malleolus, it branches into the heel, ascends to the medial gastrocnemius, emerges on the thigh's medial side, penetrates the spine, belongs to the Kidney, and connects with the Bladder. The straight branch belongs to the Kidney, penetrates the Liver and diaphragm, enters the Lung, follows the throat to seek the root of the tongue. The branch emerges from the Lung, connects with the Heart, and finally reaches deep within the chest.
[Annotation] The Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian originates from the Zhiyin acupoint below the little toe of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian (Note: This annotation contains a factual error regarding origin, but translated as per source), slants towards the Yongquan acupoint in the center of the sole, emerges below the Ran Gu acupoint, follows the Taixi acupoint behind the medial malleolus, branches from Taixi into the Dazhong acupoint in the heel, travels from Dazhong through the Shuiquan, Zhaohai, Fuliu, and Jiaoxin acupoints, ascends to the Zhubin acupoint in the medial gastrocnemius. Emerging from Zhubin, it appears at the Yin Gu acupoint on the medial thigh, ascends from Yin Gu to the Henggu acupoint at the posterior medial margin of the thigh, penetrates the spine from Henggu, belongs to the Kidney, and connects with the Bladder. Its straight branch exits the Kidney externally, passing sequentially through the Dahe, Qixue, Siman, Zhongzhu, Huangshu, Shangqu, Shiguan, Yindu, Tonggu, etc., acupoints, enters internally to penetrate the Liver and diaphragm, and externally follows the Youmen, Bulang, Shenfeng, Lingxu, Shencang, Yuzhong, and Yufo acupoints, enters the Lung, follows the throat, flanks the root of the tongue, and ends. Its branch emerges from the Lung, connects with the Heart, pours into the chest, thereby intersecting with the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Meridian.
There are twenty-seven acupoints in the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, including Yongquan, Ran Gu, and Zhaohai; Taixi and Shuiquan connect to Dazhong; Fuliu, Jiaoxin, and Zhubin stand in sequence; Yin Gu and Henggu lead to Dahe; Qixue, Siman, and Zhongzhu are located; Huangshu, Shangqu, and Shiguan are stationed; Yindu, Tonggu, and Youmen are positioned; Bulang and Shenfeng emerge from Lingxu; Shencang, Yuzhong, and Yufo conclude.
