[Dries the Earth (Spleen) and promotes water metabolism], [drains fluid retention and eliminates phlegm], [moves blood stasis and removes fullness], [dissolves masses and removes epigastric stuffiness], regulates hiccups, acid regurgitation, and vomiting of putrid food; wards off miasma and pestilence from mountains and rivers. Revives flaccidity of sinews and bones, clears turbid urine. The produce from Maoshan is superior. Processing method is the same as Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma).

Taste: Sweet, astringent. Qi: Neutral. Meridian Tropism: Foot-Jueyin Liver Channel. Nourishes blood and benefits sinews, extinguishes wind and moistens dryness, astringes Liver Qi dispersion; highly effective for seminal emission. Relaxes tendon and vessel spasms, beneficial for hemiplegia. Scrofula and carbuncles are all dissipated; metrorrhagia and dripping leukorrhea are all stopped. Excellent for hemorrhoids, miraculous for malaria. Soak in rice-washing water for one to two days, slice with a copper knife, mix evenly with black soybeans, steam and sun-dry multiple times in a clay pot.
