[Outline of Summerheat Syndrome]
When summerheat pathogen damages the primordial qi and righteous qi is deficient, once wind pathogen is contracted, it becomes difficult to withstand heat. If stagnation and steaming occur in both exterior and interior, spirit suddenly becomes exhausted; in such cases, dispersing and clearing methods must be applied concurrently.
Fangqiao Sangxing Tang (Preparation of Wind-Dispersing, Forsythia, Mulberry Leaf, and Apricot Kernel Decoction)
(Attached Syndrome Description) The etiology involves exterior excess with prior qi injury, manifesting as white tongue coating, absence of sweat, and thirst for drinking fluids. It is suitable to use Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Zhu Ru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam), Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum), Chi Dou (Sojae Preparata), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Hua Shi (Talcum), Jie Geng (Platycodonis Radix) combined with Sang Ye (Mori Folium) and Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix).
Sangfang Disha Tang (Preparation of Mulberry Leaf, Saposhnikovia, Rehmannia, and Paeonia Decoction)
(Attached Syndrome Description) If exterior excess exists and pathogen injures the blood level, manifesting as red tongue body and frequent thirst, Sang Ye (Mori Folium), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Zhu Ru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Jie Geng (Platycodonis Radix) are used, added with Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), and Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix).

Jing Mi (Oryza Sativa), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum), and Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) are beneficial.
Jiashengmai San Formula (Modified Shengmai Powder)
(Attached Syndrome Description) Exterior deficiency allows summerheat-heat to invade the blood level, manifesting as crimson tongue, profuse sweating, and uncontrollable thirst. Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) and Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) must be used, combined with Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), and Sha Shen (Glehniae Radix).
