[Outline of Turbid Urine]
Turbid urine syndrome is generally caused by damp-heat. The differentiation between red and white types is distinct. It is crucial to distinguish between yin and yang, deficiency and excess. Formulas should be prescribed according to the etiology to achieve efficacy.
Erchen Decoction with Modifications
(Attached Case Description) This formula containing Poria (Fuling), Licorice Root (Gancao), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), and Pinellia Tuber (Banxia) is excellent. It also includes Atractylodes Rhizome (Baizhu/Cangzhu) and Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai). When damp-heat lingers for a long time causing turbid urine, its efficacy after administration is praiseworthy.
Bixie Qingfen Yin
When kidney essence fails to secure itself leading to leakage of turbid matter, Bixie Qingfen Yin can treat it. It involves using Polygala Root (Yizhi Ren) together with Cinnamon Twig (Wuyao). Acorus Rhizome (Shichangpu) and Licorice Root tip (Caogao) are suitable additions.
Sijunzi Decoction with Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi)
(Attached Case Description) Ginseng Root (Renshen), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Poria (Fuling), and Licorice Root (Gancao) effectively tonify spleen qi. Adding Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi) helps stabilize the spirit. This formula is particularly effective for turbid urine caused by heart deficiency, yielding miraculous results.
Fengsui Dan
(Attached Case Description) Not only does Licorice Root (Gancao) assist Zanthoxylum Seed (Sharen), but Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai) is also combined for greater efficacy. When ministerial fire flares up causing turbid urine, one must follow the method of rapidly clearing damp-heat.
Longmu Tusian Jiu Wan
(Attached Case Description) Excessive sexual activity leads to the formation of turbid urine. Dragon Bone (Longgu) and Oyster Shell (Muli) calm the spirit and astringe essence. Leek Seed (Jiuzi) and Dodder Seed (Tusizi) are suitable for inclusion. Tonifying kidney deficiency can restore vitality.
[Outline of Enuresis]
Bladder enuresis stems from cold in the kidney meridian, making it difficult for the gate to close securely. If the spleen and lungs are deficient, they fail to hold urine. Etiologies vary and require careful examination.
Fuzi Renshen Shanzhuyu Fang
(Attached Case Description) Aconite Root (Fuzi), Cornus Fruit (Shanzhuyu), and Polygala Seed (Yizhiren) are combined with Ginseng Root (Renshen). Its subtle efficacy is divine. It is particularly effective for enuresis due to kidney deficiency, boosting qi and restoring yang to support the body.
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Syndrome
(Formula see Wulin) Failure of holding power lies with the lung and spleen. Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang is suitable as a decoction. After administration, there are often miraculous effects, and the person no longer suffers from enuresis.
Rooster Liver and Cassia Heart Formula
Selecting rooster liver requires precise usage. Cassia Heart (Guixin) is added and made into pills. Nocturnal enuresis indicates extreme yang deficiency. Taking this good formula can alleviate the condition.
[Outline of Rectal Prolapse]
Kidney and spleen qi sinking leads to loss of control. Is rectal prolapse accidental? Treatment requires lifting and raising. The formula is effective; using Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang can cure the disease.
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang
(Formula see Wulin)
[Outline of Accumulation and Masses]
The yin and yang nature of accumulation and masses must be clearly distinguished. Blood stasis remains static while qi stagnation still moves. The root originates in the zang-fu organs; how can it be seen? Clinical diagnosis requires careful assessment of the condition.
Huajian Wan
(Treating internal accumulation in zang-fu organs) Licorice Root (Gancao), Peach Kernel (Taoren), and Apricot Seed (Xingren) are combined. Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), Moutan Cortex (Danpi), and Tangerine Peel (Juhong) form a novel prescription. Pills are made with honey and aged vinegar, taken with rice water. This method must be followed.
Huajian Wan Modified Formula
Modifications should be flexible according to temporary conditions. Magnitum Sulfatum (Xiaoshi) and Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang) purge heat, while Fermented Soybean (Douzhi) warms the middle. Adding Turtle Plastron (Biejia) and Oyster Shell (Muli) dissipates accumulation on the left. For accumulation on the right, Immature Bitter Orange (Zhishi) and Magnolia Bark (Houpo) are needed for attack.
Huajian Gao
(Treating external accumulation in meridians) Angelica Sinensis Root (Danggui), Turtle Plastron (Biejia), Curcuma Zedoaria Rhizome (Ezhu), Bupleurum Root (Sanleng), and Pangolin Scale (Shanjia) are connected. Silkworm (Jiangcan, original text "Jinyu"), Croton Seed (Badou) are boiled together. Borax (Pengsha), Cinnamon Bark (Guirou), and Moschus (Shexiang) are combined with sheep blood. Asafoetida (Awei), Ginseng Root (Renshen), and Panax Notoginseng Root (Sanqi) are ground. (Preparation follows the original book).
