Chi Bai Zhuo (Red and White Turbid Urine) constitutes a disease pattern of damp-heat. When dampness exceeds heat, it manifests as white turbidity; when heat exceeds dampness, it manifests as red turbidity. However, the root cause always lies in the Spleen. When Spleen dampness fails to ascend, Liver Qi sinks and stagnates in the lower jiao, transforming into damp-heat through stasis, which generates red and white substances that flow out as turbid urine. If the condition is purely due to damp-heat, Erchen Tang (Two-Aged Decoction) with modifications is used. If turbidity arises from insecurity of Kidney Yuan (Original Qi), Bixie Fenqing Yin (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Decoction for Separating Clear and Turbid) is used. If turbidity arises from insecurity of Heart Qi, Sijunzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) with Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) is used. If turbidity arises from flourishing Xianghuo (Ministerial Fire), Fengsui Dan (Feng Sui Pill) is used. If turbidity arises from excessive sexual indulgence, Longmu Tujiu Wan (Dragon Bone, Oyster Shell, Dodder Seed, and Leek Seed Pill) is used.
