〔《大》〕治妊娠忽然下黄汁如胶，或如豆汁，胎动腹痛。
粳米（五升） 黄 （六两）
上以水七升，煎取二升，分为四服。
〔梅〕银苎酒 治妊娠下黄汁，或如赤豆汁。
苎根（去黑皮，切） 银（一斤）
上水九升，煎取四升，每服入酒半升，或一升，煎分二次服。
〔《脉》〕妇人怀躯六月七月，暴下斗余水，其胎必倚而堕，此非时孤浆预下故也。（胎漏，徐徐下水。
今暴下而多，故知堕胎也。）
〔《大》〕妊娠胎动不安者，由冲任经虚，受胎不实也。亦有饮酒房室过度，损动不安者；有误击，
触而胎动者；有喜怒，气宇不舒，伤于心肝，触动血脉者；有信医宜服暖补，反为药所害者；有因母
病而胎动者，但治母病，其胎自安；有胎不坚固，动及母疾，但当安胎，其母自愈。
永固孕丸
地黄 川芎 黄芩（各五分） 归身尾 人参 白芍 陈皮（各一钱） 白术（一钱半） 甘草（三钱）
黄柏（些） 桑上羊食藤（七叶，圆者） 糯米（半升）
上 咀，煎服。
〔仲〕妊娠宜常服，当归散主之。
当归 黄芩 芍药 芎 （各一两） 白术（半斤）
上五味，杵为散，酒饮服方寸匕，日再服。妊娠常服即易产，胎无苦疾。产后百病悉主之。
妊娠养胎，白术散主之。
白术 芎 （各四钱） 蜀椒（三钱，去汗） 牡蛎（ ，二分）
上四味，杵为散，酒服一钱匕，日三服，夜一服。但苦痛，加芍药；心下毒痛，倍加芎 ；心烦痛，
吐不能饮食，加细辛一两，半夏大者二十枚；服后若呕，以醋酱水服之，后不解者，小麦汁饮之；以
后渴者，大麦粥服之。病虽愈，服之勿置。
〔《肘》〕胎动不安。取苎根如足大指者一尺， 咀，以水五升。煮取三升，去渣服。（一方有生
姜五片。丹溪云∶苎根大能补阴而行滞血。）
〔《大》〕银苎酒（方见前胎漏条。）
治胎动不安。好银煮水，着葱白作羹，食之佳。
治妊娠二三月，上至八九个月，胎动不安，腹痛，已有所下方。
艾叶 阿胶（炒） 当归 川芎（各三两） 甘草（一两）
上细切，以水八升．煮取三升，去渣，内胶令烊，分三服，日三。
〔云〕立效散 治妇人胎动不安，如重物所坠，冷如冰。（即佛手散，方见眩门。）
〔《大》〕缩砂散 治胎动不安，堕在须臾者，神效。（方见毒物伤胎。）
[From *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang*] Treats sudden discharge of yellow fluid resembling glue or bean juice during pregnancy, accompanied by restless fetus and abdominal pain.
Japonica Rice (5 sheng) Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 6 liang)
Boil the above ingredients in 7 sheng of water until reduced to 2 sheng, divide into four doses for oral administration.
[Meishi] Yinzhu Jiu (Silver and Ramie Root Wine) Treats discharge of yellow fluid or red bean-like fluid during pregnancy.
Zhumagen (Ramiae Crotalariae Caulis, remove black skin, slice) Silver vessel (1 jin)
Boil the above ingredients in 9 sheng of water until reduced to 4 sheng. For each dose, add half a sheng or one sheng of wine, boil again, and divide into two doses for oral administration.
[From *Maijing*] When a woman is six or seven months pregnant and suddenly discharges more than a dou of watery fluid, the fetus will inevitably tilt and abort; this is due to the premature leakage of "Gupjiang" (isolated amniotic fluid) at an abnormal time. (Tai Lou refers to the slow leakage of small amounts of fluid. Since it now discharges suddenly and in large quantities, it is known as fetal abortion.)
[From *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang*] Restless fetus and insecurity during pregnancy are caused by deficiency of the Chong and Ren meridians, resulting in unstable conception. It may also be caused by excessive alcohol consumption or sexual activity, damaging the fetus; by accidental blows or trauma causing fetal movement; by emotional disturbances such as anger or joy leading to qi stagnation, injuring the Heart and Liver, and disturbing the blood vessels; by mistakenly taking warming and tonifying medicines prescribed by doctors, which harm the body; by maternal illness causing fetal restlessness, in which case treating the mother's illness will naturally stabilize the fetus; or by fetal instability triggering maternal disease, in which case stabilizing the fetus will naturally cure the mother.
Yonggu Yun Wan (Eternal Stability Pregnancy Pill)
Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) (each 5 fen), Guishenwei (Angelicae Sinensis Radix stem and tail), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (each 1 qian), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 1.5 qian), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 3 qian), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, a little), Sangshangyangshiteng (Caulis Crotalariae on Mulberry, seven leaves, round ones), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice, half sheng)
Chop the above ingredients finely, decoct with water, and take orally.
[Zhang Zhongjing] During pregnancy, Danggui San should be taken regularly.
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Xiongxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, half jin)
Grind the above five herbs into powder. Take one fangcunbi (square-inch measure) with wine, twice daily. Regular use during pregnancy facilitates delivery and keeps the fetus free from distress. It also treats various postpartum diseases.
For nourishing the fetus during pregnancy, Baizhu San is indicated.
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Xiongxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 4 qian), Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper Fruit, 3 qian, processed to remove moisture), Muli (Ostreae Concha, calcined, 2 fen)
Grind the above four herbs into powder. Take one qianbi with wine, three times daily and once at night. If severe pain occurs, add Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix); if there is severe pain in the epigastrium, double the amount of Xiongxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma); if there is irritability, pain, vomiting, and inability to eat, add Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang) and Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 20 large pieces). If vomiting occurs after taking the medicine, administer with vinegar sauce water; if symptoms persist, drink wheat juice; if thirst develops later, consume barley porridge. Even if the illness resolves, do not discontinue use.
[From *Zhouhou Beiji Fang*] For restless fetus: Take one chi (foot) of Zhumagen (Ramiae Crotalariae Caulis) sized like the big toe of the foot, chop it, and boil in 5 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain and take orally. (Another formula includes 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens). Zhu Danxi stated: Zhumagen greatly nourishes Yin and moves stagnant blood.)
[From *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang*] Yinzhu Jiu (Silver and Ramie Root Wine) (Formula seen earlier under Tai Lou section).
Treats restless fetus. Boil good silver in water, add scallion whites to make a soup, and eat it for best results.
Treats restless fetus and abdominal pain during pregnancy from two to three months up to eight to nine months. The following formulas have been provided.
Aiye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini, stir-fried), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 3 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang)
Finely chop the above ingredients, boil in 8 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain, add Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini) and melt it. Divide into three doses, taken three times daily.
[Yunqizi] Lixiao San (Instant Efficacy Powder) Treats restless fetus in women, feeling like a heavy weight pressing down, with coldness like ice in the abdomen. (This is Foshou San, see Xuamen section for formula.)
[From *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang*] Suosha San (Amomum Villosum Powder) Treats restless fetus with imminent miscarriage, showing divine efficacy. (See formula under section on Poisonous Substances Injuring Fetus.)
