Although ancient times had severe crimes, one's lineage was not extinguished. This also embodies the therapeutic intent of "subduing the primary pathogen and addressing the initial cause." Furthermore, to drain the malignant heat from the teeth, Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix) is used as the guiding herb for its meridian, and Ban Qian (Half a Qian) of Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix) is used to guide the medicinal action. Fearing that acrid-hot herbs might be too excessive and damage the Liver Meridian, mild purging is employed. Danggui Shen (the body of Angelicae Sinensis Radix), with its acrid-warm nature, greatly harmonizes the blood vessels. Thus, the method of medication preparation is complete.
Baishizhi (Calcined Halloysitum Rubrum, 1 Qian, calcined until red, levigated with water, ground fine, dried) Ganjiang (Processed Ginger Rhizome, 4 Qian) Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex washed with wine, 5 Fen) Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, 1 Qian)
Bailonggu (Processed Os Draconis et Ossis Mamillae, 2 Qian, boiled in wine, levigated) Baishao (White Peony Root, 5 Fen) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix washed with wine, 3 Qian)
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder, mixed with water-boiled thin paste to form pills, sized like chicken heads. Take 30 pills per dose. When empty-stomached and after residual food has digested, decoct plain boiling water, let it cool to warm, and swallow the pills. Do not allow the medicine to stagnate in the stomach; wait a while and then take breakfast to suppress the medicinal effect, preventing hot herbs from irritating the stomach. Avoid cold, raw, hard foods, alcohol, and damp wheat products.
The astringent properties of Shizhi (Halloysitum) and Longgu (Os Draconis) are used to consolidate and stop discharge, suitable for cases of slipping and incontinence due to excessive dampness.
Buzhen Runchang Tang (Tonify True and Moisten Intestines Decoction): Treats leukorrhea (vaginal discharge), pain in the vaginal orifice, urgent pain radiating to the heart, yellowish complexion with loose skin, heaviness of the body like carrying mountains, and a sensation of ice within the vagina. (Also known as Zhuyang Tang.)
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 1 Qian) Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, 1.2 Qian) Liangjiang (Alpiniae Katsumadai Rhizome, 2 Qian) Ganjiang (Processed Ginger Rhizome, 1 Qian) Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 5 Fen) Bai Kuihua (White Hibiscus Flower, 7 flowers) Sheng Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 5 Fen)
Yuliren (Prunus Armeniaca Seed) Gancao (Licorice Root, each 1 Qian)
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder and cut into fragments. Prepare as a single dose: add two cups of water, decoct to one cup, remove dregs, and take hot before meals.
The slippery properties of Kuihua (Hibiscus Flower) and Yuliren (Apricot Seed) are used to moisten dryness, suitable for cases of withering, drying, and stagnation.
[Zhu Danxi] Moyao Dan (Waist-Massaging Pill): Treats leukorrhea accompanied by abdominal pain. (Formula found in the Lower Back Pain section, very effective.)
[Zhang Jiegou] For leukorrhea with painful knotting in the lower abdomen, first administer Shizao Tang (Ten Date Decoction) to purge, then treat with Kulian Wan (Toosendan Pill) and Da Xuan Hu San (Large Corydalis Powder) to regulate. This is a method of attacking first and tonifying later.
[Zhu Danxi] For leukorrhea caused by congealed phlegm, when half-hungry, swallow more than ten grains of Xiaowei Dan (Small Stomach Pill) with saliva. Once the stagnant accumulation moves, use Baizhu Siwu Tang (Atractylodes and Four Substances Decoction) etc. to tonify. This is also a method of attacking first and tonifying later.
[Zhu Danxi] Lady Hu suffered from leukorrhea, heavy menstruation, poor appetite, fatigue, yellowish face, and blood clots in the menses resembling fascia. She was given Renshen (Ginseng) and Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephalae Rhizome) etc. to tonify blood and Qi and regulate the Spleen and Stomach. Afterward, all symptoms subsided except the leukorrhea, which was treated with Chupi Wan (Tree Bark Pill). (Formula found in the Damp-Heat section.)
The above methods treat leukorrhea characterized by deficiency with heat. If there is deficiency with cold, presenting with faint pulse, pale lusterless complexion, and weakness in speech, use Dongyuan's Bujing Guzhen Tang (Tonify Meridian and Consolidate True Decoction), Dingxiang Jiao Ai Tang (Clove and Moxa Decoction), or Xianggui Liuhe Tang (Cinnamon and Cyperus Six-Harmony Decoction).
[Zhang Hezi] Previously, a woman from Dunqiu suffered from continuous leukorrhea, with white discharge for three years. I instructed her to have her pulse taken. Both hands showed slippery, large, and forceful pulses, beating six to seven times per breath. She often experienced upper heat, dry mouth, dizziness, and occasional vomiting of sour fluid. I knew she had cold phlegm in the chest. Using Guiti San (Melon Pedicle Powder), I induced vomiting of two to three sheng of cold phlegm, mostly sour fluid, interspersed with yellow sputum resembling rotten glue. Then, I nourished her Stomach Qi with grain porridge. Next, I used Dao Shui Yu Gong San (Water-Guiding Yu Gong Powder) to purge the lower body, followed by bland diuretic herbs to promote urination. Within a few days, she recovered.
The wife of Li Zuo Ya from Xicheng suffered from watery leukorrhea, dripping continuously from the vagina, with an offensive odor that could not be approached. Her face was yellow, appetite reduced, for three years. All physicians claimed it was accumulated cold, repeatedly using warming and tonifying drugs like Yangqishi (Pyrite), Liuhuang (Sulfur), Jiang (Ginger), and Fu (Aconite), resulting in increased discharge. Dai Ren diagnosed: "This turbid water discharge is originally due to heat invading the Taiyang Meridian, causing cold water to fail in consolidation." Water flows from high to low; one must first cut off its source. Thus, he induced vomiting of two to three sheng of phlegm. The next day, he purged over a dou of watery stool. After three bowel movements and profuse sweating,
by the next morning, the patient reported: "The discharge has stopped." Subsequently, she took cold-natured medicines for half a year and gave birth to a son.
[Zhang Zhongjing] Asked: A fifty-year-old woman suffers from diarrhea for dozens of days without stopping, fever in the evening, urgency and fullness in the lower abdomen, palm heat, and dry lips and mouth. What is this? Master said: This disease belongs to leukorrhea. Why? Because she previously had a miscarriage, and blood stasis remains in the lower abdomen. How do we know? The symptom of dry lips and mouth indicates this. It should be treated with Wenjing Tang (Warm the Meridian Decoction).
Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, 3 Liang) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix) Renshen (Ginseng Radix) Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini) Mudan (Moutan Cortex, heart removed) Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) Gancao (Licorice Root, each 2 Liang)
Banxia (Pinelliae Tuber, half Sheng) Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber, 1 Sheng)
The above twelve ingredients are decocted in ten dou of water to yield three sheng. Divide into three warm doses. It also treats cold in the lower abdomen of women, infertility due to long-term cold, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, excessive menstrual flow, or delayed menstruation.
[Zhu Danxi] Red and white leukorrhea: Use Wulingzhi (Trogopteri Dung) half raw and half cooked, ground into powder, taken with wine.

Grind into fine powder. Take a square-inch spoonful with wine on an empty stomach.
Yimu San (Motherwort Powder): Treats red and white leukorrhea and continuous lochia.
Harvest Motherwort (Leonurus Japonicus) when flowering, crush and grind into fine powder. Take 2 Qian with warm wine on an empty stomach, three times daily.
Xiangfan San (Fragrant Alum Powder): Divine efficacy. (Formula found in the Metrorrhagia section where blood turns black and stops; this is Vinegar-processed Cyperi Rhizoma ash.)
[Zhu Danxi] Red and white leukorrhea both belong to Blood disorders, originating from the Large Intestine or Small Intestine. Fried Huangjingzi (Vitex Negundo Fruit) ground into powder, taken with rice drink.
Another prescription for leukorrhea: Use Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) stir-fried with Duanshi (Iron Ore) until the skin is removed, add a little Qiancao (Rubia Cordifolia Radix), and form pills with congee paste.
[Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang] Baizhi San (Angelica Dahurica Powder): Treats red and white leukorrhea.
Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 1 Liang) Haipiaoxiao (Sepiae Endoconcha, two, calcined) Taifa (Human Placenta Hair, one ball, calcined)

Sanyinjiao
[Li Dongyuan] Another method: Rongchi (3 Fen, moxa 30 cones, located in the pool-like pulse anterior and posterior to the medial malleolus, also named Yinyang Xue.) Another method: Yinyang (Located at the junction of white and flesh skin on the flexor side of the big toe.) Another method: Sanyinjiao (SP6) (Depth 5 Fen, moxa.) Jiaoyi (2 Cun, moxa.) [Xin Yin] After childbirth, women often develop white water discharge, dripping continuously, leading to chronic facial and bodily edema: Yinggu (KI10) (Depth 2.5 Cun.) Jiegu (GB39) (Depth 2.5 Cun.)
If panting and fullness occur, needle Yuji (LU10) penetrating to Taiyuan (LU9) (49 breaths total left and right, treats Lung meridian water qi, extremely effective.)
[Wang Haizang] Leukorrhea disease is governed by the Taiyin. Moxa Zhangmen (LR13) with millet-grain-sized cones, 3 cones each, effective.
[Jia Yi Jing) After postpartum red and white discharge, dry and painful vagina, aversion to intercourse, hardness/fullness of lower abdomen, urinary retention: QuGu (CV2) governs. For women with red/white discharge, internal urgency and convulsions, Wushu (GB26) governs.
Su Wen] If Kidney, Liver, and Heart pulses are small and urgent, and do not drum (pulse wave is weak), they all indicate Jia (abdominal masses). (Da Qi Lun Wang Bing commentary: Small and urgent indicates severe cold; no drumming means blood does not flow; lack of blood flow and thin cold cause blood to coagulate internally forming Jia.)
Urgency in the Three Yang meridians indicates Jia; urgency in the Three Yin meridians indicates Shan (hernia). (Wang Bing commentary: Taiyang cold causes blood aggregation forming Jia; Taiyin cold causes Qi aggregation forming Shan.) Urgent pulses are called Shan Jia, with lower abdominal pain. (Ping Ren Qi Xiang Lun)
Mai Jing] Master said: Leukorrhea in women is one of the Six Extremes diseases. Floating pulse indicates borborygmus and abdominal fullness; Tight pulse indicates abdominal pain; Rapid pulse indicates vaginal itching and sores; Wiry pulse indicates vaginal pulling pain. If a woman with leukorrhea has a floating pulse and aversion to cold, it is incurable.
