[Danxi] For leukorrhea (leukorrhea) of red and white discharge, adopt Master Luo's method: Shizao Tang (Ten Jujube Decoction), Shenyuan Wan (Divine Protection Pill), or Yuzhu San (Jade Candle Powder) may all be used. For those with deficiency, harsh purgatives must not be used; for those with excess, they may be employed. In cases of Blood deficiency, use Jiajian Siwu Tang (Modified Four Substances Decoction). In cases of Qi deficiency, administer Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 人参), and Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) alternately. Red discharge pertains to the Blood level, while white discharge pertains to the Qi level; treatment prioritizes drying dampness. In cases of severe dampness, use Guchang Wan (Intestine-Stabilizing Pill). If Ministerial Fire is hyperactive, add Chao Huangbai (Fried Phellodendron Bark) to the formulas. In cases of slipping/looseness, add Longgu (Dragon Bone) and Chishizhi (Red Halloysite). In cases of stagnation, add Sunflower (Kuihua). (White discharge is treated as white leukorrhea, red discharge as red leukorrhea.) For those with irritable temper, add Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome). In cold months, add small amounts of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) and Fuzi (Aconite Root). Clinical application requires flexibility; first, one must cut off rich and greasy foods. Leukorrhea and nocturnal emission are treated with the same methods. Obese individuals suffering from leukorrhea often have damp-phlegm, treated with Haishi (Flint), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Nanxing (Arisaema Tuber), Chao Huangbai (Fried Phellodendron Bark), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), Cangzhu (Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome), and Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome). Thin individuals rarely suffer from leukorrhea; if present, it is mostly heat, treated with Chao Huangbai (Fried Phellodendron Bark), Ge Fen (Margarita Shell), Huashi (Talcum), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), and Chupi (Bark of Toona Sinensis). Leukorrhea and metrorrhagia both stem from phlegm accumulation in the Stomach flowing downward into the Bladder, exiting through the Large and Small Intestines; lifting methods should be used. In severe cases, emetics must be used on the upper body to lift the Qi, while Erchen Tang (Two-Cured Decoction) plus Baizhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) and Cangzhu (Atractylodes Lancea Rhizoma) should be used on the lower body, still prepared as pills. To treat white leukorrhea caused by knotted phlegm, use Xiaowei Dan (Small Stomach Pill); take several pills with saliva when half-hungry and half-full; after the stagnation moves, then administer tonic medicines.
Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术) (1 liang) Atractylodis Lanceae Rhizoma (Cangzhu, 苍术) (0.5 liang) Red and White Sunflower (Hongbai Kuihua, 红白葵花) (2.5 qian) Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 白芍) (7.5 qian)
Steamed with steamed bread dough to form pills; taken empty-stomached, washed down with twenty pills decocted from Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction).
Master Tao Zundao's aunt, aged seventy, thin but with a good appetite, suffered from white leukorrhea. Before meals, swallow fifty pills of Dabu Wan (Great Tonifying Pill) once or twice with Ginger Decoction; after lunch and before bed, take fifteen pills of Xiaowei Dan (Small Stomach Pill) each time, resulting in cure.
[TPHAC] Ruxiang San (Frankincense Powder), treats red and white leukorrhea.
Tsao Guo (Cardamom Fruit) (one fruit, peel removed, insert a small piece of Moschus (Shexiang, 麝香), wrap in dough cake, fire-roast until yellow and charred externally but retaining internal properties, remove and mix with flour)
Grind into fine powder; take two qian per dose, mixed with Chenpi Yin (Tangerine Peel Drink); for severe cases, three qian.
[Danxi] For unceasing leukorrhea, use Jiaomu (Pepper Seed) and Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root). To treat white leukorrhea, grind Jiaomu (Pepper Seed) into powder and take with Rice Decoction.
Chupi Wan (Toona Bark Pill), treats red and white leukorrhea with damp-heat.
Paeoniae Radix (Baishao, 白芍) (5 qian) Alpiniae Katsumadai Rhizoma (Liangjiang, 良姜) (3 qian, burnt to ash) Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, 黄柏) (2 qian. Both fried to ash) Toonae Cortex (Chun Gen Pi, 椿根皮) (1.5 liang)

Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (3 qian) Talcum (Huashi, 滑石) (1 liang, fried)
Grind into powder, make pills with porridge paste, take with Rice Decoction.
To treat leukorrhea.
Toonae Cortex (Chun Gen Pi, 椿根皮) (2 liang) Mass Media Saccharomyces (Shenqu, 神曲) (fried) Wheat Bran Fermented Mass (Maipi Qu, 麦皮曲) (fried) Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, 黄柏) (each 1 liang, fried) Paeoniae Radix (Baishao, 白芍) (1.5 liang) Talcum (Huashi, 滑石) (0.5 liang)
Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao, 枳壳) (0.5 liang) Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu, 苍术) (1 liang)
Grind into powder, make pills with paste size of paulownia seeds. Take fifty pills per dose, empty-stomached.
Guchang Wan (Intestine-Stabilizing Pill), treats dampness-induced diarrhea, bloody stools, and white leukorrhea. After removing chronic accumulations in the Spleen and Stomach, use this to dry and remove lower dampness; it is not used alone, but prescribed as a decoction based on the condition.
Toonae Cortex (Chun Gen Pi, 椿根皮) ground into powder, made into pills with porridge paste. This medicine is cool and drying in nature, must be fried before use. Another formula adds half the amount of Talcum (Huashi, 滑石).
To treat white leukorrhea caused by emotional injury, with rapid pulse.
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 黄连) (fried) Platycladi Cacumen (Ce Bai Ye, 侧柏) (wine-steamed) Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, 黄柏) (fried. Each 0.5 liang) Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu, 香附) (vinegar-fried) Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术) (fried. Each 1 liang) Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, 白芷) (burnt to retain nature, 3 qian) Toonae Cortex (Chun Gen Pi, 椿根皮) (2 liang, fried) Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 白芍) (1 liang) Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang, 木香) (3 qian)
Grind into powder, make pills with rice porridge, send down with Rice Decoction.
The above five formulas treat leukorrhea using Chun Pi (Toona Bark) as an example. They are cool and drying agents, suitable for those with abundant damp-heat. The latter formula contains Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizome), and Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), thus treating emotional injuries.
[TPHAC] Diyugao (Sanguisorba Paste), treats red and white leukorrhea, where the body is emaciated like sticks.
Sanguisorbae Radix (Diyu, 地榆) (1 jin), boil in three sheng of water until reduced by half, remove dregs, boil again until thick like syrup, strain cleanly, take three he empty-stomached, twice daily.
To treat metrorrhagia with five colors. Sanguisorbae Radix (Diyu, 地榆) (3 liang), chop, boil in one sheng of vinegar for more than ten boils, remove dregs, take slightly warm, one he before meals.
[Qianjin] To treat women's red and white leukorrhea. San Ye Suan Jiang Cao (Oxalis Corniculata Herb), dry in shade, grind into powder, take three qian bi with warm wine empty-stomached.
The above three formulas treat leukorrhea using Diyu (Sanguisorbae Radix) as an example. They are cold and astringent agents, also suitable for those with abundant damp-heat and slipping/descending. Note: San Ye Suan Jiang Cao (Oxalis Corniculata Herb) has leaves fine as duckweed, growing in clusters, with three leaves at the stem tip, commonly known as "Cuckoo Rice". Cuckoo refers to the dove/pigeon, likely because doves often eat this grass, hence also called "Jiu Jiang Cao" (Dove Juice Grass). *Yanyi* mistakenly included it under the Ku HT entry, stating it is San Ye Suan Jiang Cao; could Ku HT be Suan Jiang? (Ku HT fruits are large like golden kumquats, sour and edible, hence also named Suan Jiang, not three-leaved. San Ye Suan Jiang is a small grass spreading on the ground, leaves all three-petaled, only opens yellow flowers, its stems and leaves are all sour.)
[Danxi] White leukorrhea.
Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Guiban, 龟板) (roasted) Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Zhizi, 枳子) (each 2 liang) Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, 黄柏) (1 liang, fried) Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 白芍) (7.5 qian) Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜) (fried, 2.5 qian) Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu, 香附) (0.5 liang)
Cornus Officinalis Fruit (Shanzhuyu, 山茱萸) Sophorae Flavescentis Radix (Kushen, 苦参) Toonae Cortex (Chupi, 樗皮) Fritillariae Bulbus (Beimu, 贝母) (each 0.5 liang)
Grind into powder, make pills with wine paste, take empty-stomached.
Red and white leukorrhea.
Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Guiban, 龟板) (2 liang, wine-roasted) Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, 黄柏) (1 liang, fried) Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜) (1 qian, fried) Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Zhizi, 枳子) (2.5 qian)

Another formula, to treat leukorrhea with rapid pulse.
Lycii Cortex (Gouqigen, 枸杞根) (1 jin) Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdi, 生地) (5 jin)
These two ingredients, boil in one dou of water until five sheng remain, divide into three doses.
The above three formulas treat leukorrhea using Guiban (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), and Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) as examples, suitable for Kidney Water True Yin deficiency.
When Spleen transmits to Kidney, the disease is named Shanxia (hernia-mass), with冤热 (oppressive heat) and pain in the lower abdomen, discharging white fluid, also named Gu (worm). At this time, massage and medication can be applied. (Full text see Diagnosis of Life and Death. Wang Bing notes: Discharging white refers to urinating white fluid. It is similar to cloudy urine or leukorrhea. Dai Ren says: Enuresis and stranguria, impotence and bladder paralysis, seminal emission and white discharge, are men's hernias. Blood exhaustion and amenorrhea, heat above waist and knees after menstruation stops, weak legs, dry throat, stranguria, masses in lower abdomen that move or stay, protrusion of anterior yin, hemorrhoids at posterior yin, are all women's hernias. He also says: Women do not call it hernia but jia (mass).)
When Small Intestine transfers heat to Large Intestine, it forms Fu Xia (latent mass) and Chen (sinking). (Full text see Diagnosis of Disease Transmission.)
[Baomingji] Red discharge indicates heat entering the Small Intestine, white discharge indicates heat entering the Large Intestine. Tracing the root, all are damp-heat knotting in the vessels, causing fluids to surge, thus forming red and white leukorrhea. It is not originally a knotting disease; due to deficiency and knotting heat in the Five Zang meridians, stagnating in the Dai Mai (Conception Vessel belt), women experience pain below the umbilicus and continuous discharge from the vagina. The Classics state: When the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) is diseased, men develop internal seven hernias, women develop leukorrhea and jia masses. Wang Bing notes: The Ren Mai passes over from the uterus, the Dai Mai crosses above the umbilicus, hence men develop internal seven hernias, women develop leukorrhea. The Dai Mai originates from the lateral costal region at Zhangmen, resembling a belt. Now, damp-heat oppression and knotting do not dissipate, thus causing disease. The Classics state: Spleen transmitting to Kidney is named Shanxia. Small Intestine oppression and knotting cause pain and discharge of white fluid, named Gu, thus becoming leukorrhea oppression. Oppression means stagnation; stagnating and causing disease, heat does not dissipate.
