心疳面赤脉络赤，壮热有汗时烦惊，咬牙弄舌口燥渴，口舌生疮小便红，
胸膈满闷喜伏卧，懒食干瘦吐利频，泻心导赤珍珠治，茯神调理可收功。

故心疳则见面红目脉络赤，壮热有汗，时时惊烦，咬牙弄舌，口舌干燥，
渴饮生疮，小便红赤，胸膈满闷，睡喜伏卧，懒食干瘦，或吐或利也，
热盛者，泻心导赤汤主之，
热盛兼惊者，珍珠散主之，
病久心虚者，茯神汤调理之。

(珍珠散) 珍珠三钱 麦冬五钱去心 天竺黄三钱 金箔二十五片
牛黄一钱 胡黄连三钱 生甘草二钱 羚羊角 大黄 当归各三钱
朱砂二钱 雄黄一钱 茯神五钱 犀角三钱 以上细末，每五分，茵陈汤调服
（茯神汤）茯神 当归 炙甘草 人参 引用龙眼肉水煎服 烦热者加麦冬

茯神汤内用茯神，当归甘草共人参，若是烦热麦冬入，清补兼施功最纯。

疳证门
Xin Gan (Heart Garn Disease) presents with a red face, red sublingual vessels, high fever with sweating, frequent irritability and palpitations, teeth grinding, tongue protrusion or manipulation, dry mouth and thirst, sores in the mouth and on the tongue, red urine, chest and diaphragm fullness and oppression, preference for sleeping in a prone position, loss of appetite, emaciation, and frequent vomiting and diarrhea. Xin Gan should be treated with Xiexin Daochi Tang (Bupleurum and Gardenia Decoction to Drain Heart Fire and Guide Heat Out) and Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder), combined with Fushen Tang (Poria Decoction) for regulation, which will yield results.

The Heart belongs to Fire, its color is Red, and it governs the blood vessels. Therefore, Xin Gan manifests as a red face, red eye and sublingual vessels, high fever with sweating, frequent palpitations and irritability, teeth grinding, tongue manipulation, dry mouth and tongue, sores caused by excessive drinking due to thirst, red urine, chest and diaphragm fullness, preference for prone sleeping, loss of appetite, emaciation, or vomiting and diarrhea. If heat is intense, Xiexin Daochi Tang (Bupleurum and Gardenia Decoction to Drain Heart Fire and Guide Heat Out) is the primary formula; if heat is intense accompanied by palpitations, Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder) is the primary formula; if the disease has persisted for a long time leading to Heart deficiency, Fushen Tang (Poria Decoction) is used for regulation.

(Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder)) Prescription: Zhenzhu (Pearl) 3 qian, Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 5 qian (remove heart), Tianzhuhuang (Calami Rhizoma cum Borneolo) 3 qian, Jinbo (Gold Leaf) 25 pieces, Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) 1 qian, Huhuanglian (Picrorhizae Rhizoma) 3 qian, Sheng Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 2 qian, Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu) 3 qian, Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) 3 qian, Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) 3 qian, Zhusha (Cinnabaris) 2 qian, Xionghuang (Realgar) 1 qian, Fushen (Poria cum Radix Pini) 5 qian, Xijiao (Rhino Ceratostigmae Cornu) 3 qian. Grind all into fine powder. Take 0.5 fen per dose, mixed with Yinchen Tang (Artemisiae Scopariae Decoction).
(Fushen Tang (Poria Decoction)) Prescription: Fushen (Poria cum Radix Pini), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Zhi Gancao (Prepared Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma). Use Longyanrou (Longan Aril) water as an adjuvant for decoction. If irritability and heat are present, add Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix).

Garn Syndrome Section
Accumulation of heat from rich and sweet foods damages body fluids, causing extreme thirst with excessive drinking, irritability, and heat. Quickly use Qingre Ganlu Yin (Heat-Clearing Sweet Dew Decoction); when heat subsides and fluids regenerate, thirst naturally ceases.
[Note]
Ganke (Garn Thirst) is mostly caused by accumulation of heat from Fei Gan (Fat Garn) frying and consuming the Spleen and Stomach, leading to fluid depletion. Thus, there is frequent extreme thirst with excessive drinking and irritability of the Heart Spirit. Quickly use Qingre Ganlu Yin (Heat-Clearing Sweet Dew Decoction), and the thirst will heal itself. This is to resolve the condition using Shengdi Qingfei Yin (Rehmannia Lung-Clearing Decoction).
(Qingre Ganlu Yin (Heat-Clearing Sweet Dew Decoction)) Prescription: Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart), Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, raw), Pipaye (Loquat Leaf, honey-fried), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, calcined), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw), Yinchenshao (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix). Use Dengxincao (Junci Medulla) as an adjuvant for decoction.
