Article: Leaking Eye Syndrome with pus discharge manifests as pus flowing from the canthus. Sometimes purulent fluid is discharged, and sometimes clear saliva flows out. There are no corneal opacities (nebula/macula) in the eye, nor is there pain. This condition arises from wind-heat attacking and rushing upward, causing Heart Fire to flare up.
Zhu Ye Xie Jing Tang (Bamboo Leaf Decoction for Draining the Meridian) contains Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix), Ze Xie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Qing Zhu Ye (Bambusae Folium), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma - honey-fried), Che Qian Zi (Plantaginis Semen), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Cao Jue Ming (Cassiae Semen), Chuan Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Bai Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus), and Chuan Lian Zi (Meliae Fructus).

[2] This is caused by wind-heat attacking and rushing upward, and Heart Fire flaring up. It should be treated primarily with Zhu Ye Xie Jing Tang (Bamboo Leaf Decoction for Draining the Meridian).
