[Upper Compilation: External Treatment Methods - Lingshu Jing Bone Measurements]
[1] From below the laryngeal prominence (Jiehou) to the middle of the Clavicular Fossa (Quepen), the length is four cun. (This measurement is based on the depression above the Supraclavicular bone [Gugu], which is the location of the Tiantu [CV22] acupoint.)
[2] From the Clavicular Fossa (Quepen) downwards to the middle of the xiphoid process area, the length is nine cun.
[3] The circumference of the chest is four chi and five cun.
[4] The width between the two nipples is nine cun and half. (It should be折算 [converted/measured] as eight cun for accuracy.)
[5] From the lower part of the heart/stomach region to the Tianshu [ST25] acupoint, the length is eight cun. (Tianshu is the name of a Foot-Yangming Stomach meridian acupoint, located beside the umbilicus; here it refers to the level of the umbilicus.)
[6] From the Tianshu [ST25] acupoint downwards to the Henggu [pubic bone], the length is six cun and half; the transverse length of the Henggu is also six cun and half. (The bone below the pubic hair is called Henggu.)
Note: [1] These are ancient measurements. Comparing them with current methods of locating upper and lower acupoints, there are many discrepancies. It is appropriate to follow the subsequent chest and abdomen folding method for accuracy.
[2] The width between the two hips is six cun and half. This is located in the middle of the two thighs, at the ends of the Henggu (pubic bones), commonly known as the thigh seam (Bifeng).
[3] Chest and Abdomen Folding Method:
<1> For longitudinal cun, use the midline. Starting from the Tiantu [CV22] acupoint at the Clavicular Fossa, ending at the Zhongting [CV12] acupoint at the junction of the sternum and xiphoid process, this is measured as eight cun and four fen.
<2> From the upper junction of the xiphoid process downwards to the center of the umbilicus, this is measured as eight cun.
<3> From the center of the umbilicus downwards to the Qugu [CV2] acupoint at the pubic symphysis, this is measured as five cun.
<4> For transverse cun, use the distance between the two nipples, measured as eight cun.
<5> The transverse and longitudinal cun methods for the chest and abdomen are all based on these standards.

[1] The hip bone (Kuagu) is the coxal bone, also known as the condylar bone.
[2] If one has previously been affected by wind-cold-dampness, and subsequently suffers trauma from falls or blows, leading to blood stasis congealing, resulting in swelling, hardness, and tendon displacement, causing the leg to be unable to walk straight:
<1> If the tendons are shortened, the toes touch the ground.
<2> If the bones are dislocated, the buttocks protrude, and walking is slanted.
[3] Manual pushing and pressing techniques should be used to reduce the hip bone back into place, bringing the displaced tendons forward to their proper position, thereby eliminating the ailment.
