Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, 陈皮) one liang, Rhubarb (Dahuang, 大黄) two liang, Mirabilite (Piaoxiao, 朴硝) two liang.
The above three herbs are boiled in one sheng of water until reduced to one small sheng; take the decoction at once to eliminate the pathogen.
[Formula Analysis]
Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, 陈皮) resolves fish toxicity; combined with Mirabilite (Piaoxiao, 朴硝) and Rhubarb (Dahuang, 大黄), it facilitates the expulsion of toxins via the large intestine.
Verbenae Herba (Mabiancao, 马鞭草).
The above single herb is crushed to extract juice for oral administration. Alternatively, drinking one sheng of Ginger Leaf Juice can also resolve the toxicity, or emetic drugs may be administered to induce vomiting.
[Formula Analysis]
Verbenae Herba (Mabiancao, 马鞭草) primarily treats abdominal masses (Zhengxi, 症癖) and blood stasis accumulations (Xuejia, 血瘕), possessing the effects of breaking blood stasis and killing parasites; Ginger Leaf has detoxifying properties, so these methods are applicable.
Concentrated decoction of Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, 陈皮) taken orally resolves toxicity immediately.
[Formula Analysis]
Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, 陈皮) tastes bitter and pungent and is warm in nature; it directs Qi downward and unblocks the spirit, thus enabling detoxification.
Reed Rhizome (Lugen, 芦根) decocted into juice resolves toxicity upon ingestion.
[Formula Analysis]
Tetraodontidae (Houtun, 鯸鲀, i.e., Pufferfish) is delicious, particularly its plump abdomen, referred to as "Xi Shi's Breast." It lacks gills on the head and scales on the body; its liver is toxic, its blood is lethal, its fat causes tongue numbness, its roe causes abdominal distension, and contact with its eyes causes blurred vision. Only Reed Rhizome (Lugen, 芦根) juice can antidote this.
Crabs with eyes facing each other, legs with spots, and red eyes should not be eaten.
[Note]
If crab eyes face away from each other, but if they face each other, have spotted legs, and red eyes, it indicates toxicity; therefore, it is warned against eating them.
Perilla Decoction (Zisu, 紫苏) juice drunk in three sheng doses. Perilla Seed (Zisuzi, 紫苏子) juice extracted by crushing is also effective. Winter Melon Juice (Donggua, 冬瓜) drunk in three sheng doses, or consuming Winter Melon itself, is also acceptable.
[Formula Analysis]
Perilla (Zisu, 紫苏) and Winter Melon (Donggua, 冬瓜) both possess the ability to resolve crab toxicity, hence their use.
Generally, crabs that have not encountered frost contain more toxins; only fully cooked ones are safe to eat.
[Note]
Crabs that have not undergone frost contain toxins and should not be eaten raw; after encountering frost, the toxins disappear.
Spiders falling into food are toxic; do not eat them.
[Note]
Spiders are toxic; anything fallen upon by spiders should not be eaten due to the presence of toxins.
When bees, flies, insects, ants, etc., gather on food, consuming it leads to disease.
[Note]
Insects carry toxins; consuming food where insects have gathered will cause illness.
