The *Yufang Mijue* (Secrets of the Jade Chamber) records: Su Nü said, "The first type of injury is called 'Jue Qi' (Severing of Qi). 'Jue Qi' refers to the situation where one engages in sexual intercourse forcibly despite a lack of desire. This leads to sweating and deficiency of Qi, causing heat in the Heart and blurred vision. The treatment method is as follows: let the female lie supine in an upright position; the male supports her thighs and presses deeply; allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when the female ejaculates; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The second type of injury is called 'Yi Jing' (Overflowing of Essence). 'Yi Jing' refers to engaging in intercourse while driven by greed and lust, before Yin and Yang are harmonized, resulting in premature ejaculation mid-coitus. Additionally, if intercourse occurs while drunk, causing panting and chaotic breathing, it damages the Lung, leading to cough with inverted Qi, Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting syndrome), mood swings, or feelings of sorrow and desolation, dry mouth, body heat, and difficulty standing for long periods. The treatment method is: let the female lie supine in an upright position, bending her knees to clamp the male; the male inserts the penis shallowly to a depth of one and a half cun; allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when the female ejaculates; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The third type of injury is called 'Duo Mai' (Plundering of the Vessels). 'Duo Mai' refers to forcing intercourse when the penis is not erect, resulting in forced ejaculation mid-coitus and exhaustion of Essence and Qi. Furthermore, engaging in intercourse after a full meal damages the Spleen, leading to indigestion, impotence, and absence of semen. The treatment method is: let the female lie supine in an upright position, hooking her feet around the male's buttocks; the male anchors himself on the mat and inserts; allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when the female ejaculates; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The fourth type of injury is called 'Qi Xie' (Leakage of Qi). 'Qi Xie' refers to engaging in intercourse while fatigued and sweating, before the sweat has dried, causing abdominal heat and cracked lips. The treatment method is: let the male lie supine with his body extended; the female straddles him facing towards his feet, anchoring herself on the mat; insert the penis shallowly; allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when ejaculation occurs; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The fifth type of injury is called 'Ji Guan Jue Shang' (Injury to the Mechanisms/Joints). 'Ji Guan Jue Shang' refers to forcing intercourse immediately after urination or defecation, before the body has stabilized, thereby damaging the Liver. It also includes sudden, violent coition without regulation of speed or rhythm. This overworks the sinews and bones, causing blurred vision, simultaneous occurrence of carbuncles and sores, withering of all vessels, eventual hemiplegia, and impotence. The treatment method is: let the male lie supine; the female straddles his thighs, kneeling forward; press and insert slowly; do not allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when the female ejaculates; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The sixth type of injury is called 'Bai Bi' (Hundred Closures/Obstructions). 'Bai Bi' refers to indulgence in women, lack of self-restraint, frequent and excessive intercourse exhausting Essence and Qi, forced ejaculation resulting in inability to emit semen, generation of myriad diseases, Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting syndrome), and blurred vision. The treatment method is: let the male lie supine; the female straddles him, leaning forward and anchoring on the mat; allow the female to insert the penis and move herself rhythmically. Stop when ejaculation occurs; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery.
The seventh type of injury is called 'Xue Jie' (Exhaustion of Blood). 'Xue Jie' refers to strenuous labor and rapid walking, sweating from fatigue, followed immediately by intercourse. During the moment of climax, lying supine and pushing deep violently causes severe pathogenic factors to arise. Continuous unrestrained acts lead to exhaustion of Blood and Qi, causing thin and tight skin, penile pain, dampness in the scrotum, and semen transforming into blood. The treatment method is: let the female lie supine, elevating her buttocks with high pillows, extending both thighs; the male kneels between them and inserts deeply; allow the female to move herself rhythmically. Stop when ejaculation occurs; the male must not seek pleasure. Perform this nine times daily for ten days to achieve recovery."
