Dongxuanzi said: Regarding sexual union, sometimes pressing downwards with the penis, moving back and forth within the female's jade texture (referring to the vulvar area or specific anatomical landmarks), the heat generated is like splitting a clamshell to retrieve a bright pearl, (this is the first dynamic); sometimes lifting the female's jade texture upwards while thrusting upwards into the golden ditch (referring to the vaginal introitus or periurethral area), the momentum is like mining stone to seek beautiful jade, (this is the second dynamic); sometimes using the yang tip (penis) to pound the jade terrace (referring to the cervix or uterine os), the momentum is like an iron pestle thrown into a medicine mortar, (this is the third dynamic); sometimes inserting and withdrawing the penis to attack the Biyong (referring to the lateral walls of the vagina) on both sides, the momentum is like five hammers forging iron, (this is the fourth dynamic); sometimes moving the yang tip back and forth, plowing the divine field (referring to the interior of the vagina), within the secluded valley (deep vagina), the momentum is like a farmer cultivating autumn soil, (this is the fifth dynamic); sometimes grinding and contending between the Xuanpu (perineum) and the Tiantsing (abdomen/chest area, used metaphorically for upper positioning), the momentum is like two collapsing cliffs pressing against each other, (this is the sixth dynamic).
The *Yufang Mijue* records: Su Nu said: The Dao of Yin and Yang involves Seven Damages and Eight Benefits. The first benefit is called "Securing Essence" (Gujing). Let the woman lie on her side with legs spread, and the man lie on his side within them. Perform eighteen (2x9) repetitions, stopping abruptly when the count ends, thereby helping the man secure his essence. This also treats women's metrorrhagia (bleeding from the uterus); perform twice daily, cured in fifteen days.
The second benefit is called "Calming Qi" (Anqi). Let the woman lie supine with a high pillow, stretching her thighs apart. The man kneels between her thighs and penetrates. Perform twenty-seven (3x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends, thereby harmonizing the person's Qi. This also treats coldness of the female genitalia; perform three times daily, cured in twenty days.
The third benefit is called "Benefiting the Zang Organs" (Lizang). Let the woman lie on her side, bending both knees. The man lies horizontally and penetrates backwards. Perform thirty-six (4x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends, thereby harmonizing the person's Qi. This also treats coldness of the female genitalia; perform four times daily, cured in twenty days.
The fourth benefit is called "Strengthening Bones" (Qianggu). Let the woman lie on her side, bending the left knee and extending the right thigh. The man leans forward and penetrates. Perform forty-five (5x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends, thereby harmonizing the joints. This also treats amenorrhea due to blood stasis; perform five times daily, cured in ten days.
The fifth benefit is called "Regulating the Mai Vessels" (Tiaomai). Let the woman lie on her side, bending the right knee and extending the left thigh. The man presses the ground and penetrates. Perform fifty-four (6x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends, thereby making the vessels smooth and unobstructed. This also treats laxity of the female genitalia; perform six times daily, cured in twenty days.
The sixth benefit is called "Accumulating Blood" (Xuxue). The man lies supine. The woman raises her buttocks and kneels upon him, penetrating as deeply as possible. The woman performs sixty-three (7x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends. This strengthens physical power. This also treats irregular menstruation in women; perform seven times daily, cured in ten days.
The seventh benefit is called "Enriching Fluids" (Yiye). The woman lies prone and raises her posterior. The man approaches from above. Perform seventy-two (8x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends. This fills the bones with marrow.
The eighth benefit is called "Nourishing the Body" (Daoti). The woman lies supine, bending her thighs so that her feet press against her buttocks. The man penetrates using his thigh/hip pressure. Perform eighty-one (9x9) repetitions, stopping when the count ends. This makes the bones solid. This also treats foul odor of the female yin; perform nine times daily, cured in nine days.
