Among all types of pain, heart pain (Xintong) is the most acute, requiring rescue as urgently as rushing to save someone from fire or water. In cases where a patient experiences Qi collapse (Qijue), they may be unaware of their condition and require assistance from bystanders; wine should be poured into the mouth for them to hold and swallow. If there is cold counterflow in the throat causing the wine to regurgitate immediately upon ingestion, do not stop; expel it and administer again.
For abdominal distension (Fuman), consume Ningshuishi Tang (Calcitum Decoction). For excessive heat in the chest, heart, and abdomen accompanied by dryness of the throat and mouth, drink cold water. For cholera (Huoluan) with vomiting and reflux, drinking cold water is indicated. For chest obstruction (Xiongzhong Zhihai) and stiffness/tightness in the chest and hypochondrium, consuming wine is indicated. For cramping, urgency, and severe pain in the abdomen, food and drink should be taken; it is inappropriate to rely solely on cold methods. For lower back pain, wash with cold water and apply hot/cold stone compresses (Lengshi Yuntie); for difficult defecation with incomplete evacuation, take Su Ling paste-like preparation; three sheng (a traditional unit of volume) will induce bowel movement; if unrelieved, increase the dose and administer again; for frequent loose stools, wash the lower abdomen with water and take Gardenia (Zhizi)...
