The *Treatise on the Pathogenesis and Symptoms of All Diseases* (Bingyuan Lun) states: Excessive drinking after taking mineral powder, improper regulation, wearing thick clothing, and eating warm food cause fluid retention to congeal into Phlegm. When there is much Phlegm, there is chest and diaphragm stuffiness and fullness; when phlegm-accumulation occurs in the heart and hypochondrium, there is tension and urgency.
Huangfu Mi said: Disgust for food as if smelling something foul, discomfort when sitting in warm clothes. One must urgently apply purgation. If not purged, ten thousand cures will not heal it. Master Xue said: Use Sanhuang Tang (Three-Yellow Decoction) to purge.
In *Fang Sheng Shen*, for those taking mineral powders who experience Phlegm oppression, with obstructed Phlegm and guest-heat in the chest and epigastrium, use this emetic formula:
Licorice Root (5 liang).
Boil in five sheng of wine until two sheng and half remain. Divide into two doses. Those who wish to vomit will feel relieved and the pathogen will be expelled.

The *Duanju Fang*: Method for treating heat fever from alcohol and mineral drugs: Accumulated alcohol and mineral drug heat circulate through the meridians, strengthening physical strength but generating heat in the Kidney system. Desire for sexual activity often causes Kidney deficiency, leading to excess heat. Excess heat causes epigastric fullness, parched mouth and dry throat with desire to drink, but drinking leads to vomiting, and restlessness regarding diet. It is suitable to drink Gegen Tang (Kudzu Decoction) to settle the Gu Shen (Grain Spirit), clear heat, stop vomiting, and relieve thirst.
