Bu Pian Yu Feng Tang (Supplementing Deviations and Curing Wind-Stroke Decoction) treats mental unrest, palpitations (Zhen Tong), and forgetfulness caused by wind-stroke.
Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Tiandong (Asparagi Tuber), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (each 1.5 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (1 liang), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber) (decored heart), Fuling (Poria) (each 1 liang), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) (decored heart).
(Liu Hejian's Formula) Treats flaccidity and paralysis of the four limbs where they cannot be controlled, and aphasia. Flaccidity and inability to control the limbs is called "Feng Fei" (Wind Paralysis); inability to speak is called "Feng Yin" (Wind Aphonia). This condition is attributed to excessive water qi. This formula aims to guide fire back to its source in water; when water generates wood, the internal wind is extinguished.
Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (8 qian), Shanyurou (Corni Fructus) (1 qian), Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis) (3 qian), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber) (decored heart, 2 qian), Bei Wuwei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) (4 fen), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) (4 fen), Bajirou (Morinda Officinalis Radix Cortex) (2 qian).
(Zhu Danxi's Formula) Treats convulsions, coma, and confusion. This is due to blood deficiency with hyperactive wind and unsettled mind spirit.
Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 1 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (3 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Jiang Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum cum Zingibere et Alumine) (each 1 qian), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) (decocted and taken orally).
Treats facial deviation (Kou Yan Pi Xie), hemiplegia, and symptoms such as difficulty speaking due to tongue stiffness.
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (2 qian), Wuyao (Linderae Radix) (1 qian), Wei Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma prepared by baking) (1 qian), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Suye (Perillae Folium), Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride stir-fried), Zhi Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparatum cum Melle) (each 1 qian).
Treats wind-stroke. Due to dual deficiency of spleen and kidney, with hyperactive liver wood and abundant wind, leading to trismus (lockjaw), stiff tongue with difficulty speaking, and hemiplegia.
Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) (1.5 qian), Pao Dan Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata soaked and diluted), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Wei Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma prepared by baking) (each 1 qian), Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu) (powdered, 1 qian), Zaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen) (1 qian), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex).
(Self-made Formula) Treats weak qi and blood with boiling internal wind. Regardless of whether the pathology is on the left or right side, or if both hands and feet are paralyzed, the general principle is to tonify both qi and blood. When blood is sufficient and flows freely, the wind naturally extinguishes.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (3 qian), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (6 qian), Fuling (Poria) (3 qian), Sheng Huangqi (Astragali Radix raw) (6 qian), Zhi Huangqi (Astragali Radix Praeparatum cum Melle) (3 qian), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (2 qian), Chi Shao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra) (1.5 qian), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus).
