When there is fire in the Lung Metal, the clear and descending function cannot move downward, thus causing chills and fever (Shaxie Hanre), as well as cough and wheezing. Purging Lung fire and tonifying the Spleen and Stomach follows the method of "tonifying the mother when deficient."
Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Gancaoshao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma caudex), Danzhuye (Lophatheri Folium).
Decoct equal parts.
Fire in the Heart Meridian often transfers heat to the Small Intestine, representing transmission between interior and exterior organs. Therefore, treating fire in the Small Intestine must simultaneously clear the Heart; this is a fixed rule.
Shilianrou (Nelumbinis Plumula), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Fuling (Poria), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) 3 qian, Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, stir-fried), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried) 2 qian.
Take on an empty stomach.
Chaihu disperses Yang pathogens of the Liver and Gallbladder; if Liver Wood does not assist Fire, then Heart Qi remains tranquil, supported further by Renshen and Fuling to restrain it. Thus, even with fever and thirst, there is no interference.
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Shanzhi (Gardeniae Fructus), Huashi (Talcum), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Fushen (Poria cum Pinodi), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Renshen (Ginseng Radix).
Add Dengxincao (Junci Medulla), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and Dazao (Jujubae Fructus) for decoction.
Yuejing Syndrome refers to Heat pathogens in the Heart Meridian ascending to communicate with the Lung; originally unrelated to the Small Intestine. The reason for simultaneously purging the Small Intestine is to allow pathogens in the Upper Jiao to exit through the Small Intestine.
Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, wine-fried), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, wine-fried) 5 qian, Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, pith removed), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix) 2 qian, Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Banlangen (Isatidis Radix), Mabo (Belamcandae Stamen), Niuzangzi (Arctii Fructus), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) 1 qian, Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma) 7 fen, Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) 2 qian.
Grind into powder, mix with decoction, and take frequently.
Tianxing Liqi (Epidemic Pestilential Qi) is extremely fierce. When disease is in the Upper Jiao, Heaven's Qi enters humans, and pathogens inevitably attack the upper part. This formula clears heat and detoxifies, removing pestilential Qi with utmost precision.
Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) 5 qian, Heye (Nelumbinis Folium) one leaf.
Leitouteng (Thunder-head Wind) is essentially a syndrome of Wind-Yang disturbing upward, so it is suitable for ascending and dispersing methods, but not for cold-clearing methods.

Combined to retreat Fire Qi. Mix with cold water and take, 1-2 qian per dose.
Clears Fire and detoxifies. Clears the Spirit and dispels foulness, comprehensive in all aspects, excellent for treating Warm Epidemic Heat-Toxin and Miasma.
