The above describes the Five Zang organs and Six Fu organs, as well as the flow and distribution of the Twelve Meridians of Three Yin and Three Yang. The Qi of the Zang and Fu organs emerges from the Jing-Well points, flows into the Ying-Spring points, pours into the Shu-Stream points, passes through the Yuan-Source points, travels along the Jing-River points, and enters the He-Sea points. This is the method of corresponding Front-Mu and Back-Shu points anteriorly and posteriorly. For example, the Lung belongs to the Hand-Taiyin meridian and is a Zang organ. Its Qi emerges from Shaoshang as the Jing-Well point, flows to Yuji as the Ying-Spring point, pours to Taiyuan as the Shu-Stream point, passes through Lieque as the Yuan-Source point, travels along Jingqu as the Jing-River point, and enters Chize as the He-Sea point. The Front-Mu point is Zhongfu, and the Back-Shu point is at the third thoracic vertebra. All other organs follow this pattern.
The Jing-Well point of a Yang meridian belongs to Metal; the Jing-Well point of a Yin meridian belongs to Water. The Ying-Spring point of a Yang meridian belongs to Water; the Ying-Spring point of a Yin meridian belongs to Fire. The Shu-Stream point of a Yang meridian belongs to Wood; the Shu-Stream point of a Yin meridian belongs to Fire. The Yuan-Source point of a Yang meridian belongs to Fire; the Yuan-Source point of a Yin meridian belongs to Metal. The Jing-River point of a Yang meridian belongs to Fire; the Jing-River point of a Yin meridian belongs to Metal. The He-Sea point of a Yang meridian belongs to Earth; the He-Sea point of a Yin meridian belongs to Water.
