A total of one hundred and thirty-three prescriptions are included, among which two are moxibustion methods and one is a treatise.
Prescription for treating corneal opacity (Ganyu) covering the pupil, resulting in blindness:
Take Guangming Zhusha (Cinnabar, 0.5 liang), Beizi (Concha Arcae, 5 pieces, calcined over charcoal and powdered), Baiyu (White fish, 7 pieces, roasted), and Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, powdered, 0.5 fen).
Grind the above four ingredients into a fine powder, sift through three layers of cooked silk to make a san (powder). The patient should lie supine. Have someone use their little fingernail to pick up a small amount of the powder and apply it to the eye. The condition will heal. This prescription also treats white skin opacity.
Prescription for treating corneal opacity that has persisted for years without healing:
Take Hupo (Amber, 1 fen), Baizhenzhu (White Pearl, 1 fen), Shanhu (Coral, 1 fen), Zibei (Purple Concha, 1 fen), MaKe (Horse Coral/Shell, 1 fen), Zhusha (Cinnabar, 2 fen), Ruiren (Buckthorn Fruit, 0.5 liang), Juemingzi (Cassia Seed, 1 fen), and Shidan (Chalcanthite, 1 fen).
Sift the above nine ingredients to an extremely fine powder. Apply to the eye in amounts the size of a mung bean, three times a day. This is highly effective.
Prescription for treating corneal opacity and pterygium (Rou):
Select the highest quality white Fan Shi (Alum, Aluminum Potassium Sulfate), powder it, and apply an amount the size of a millet seed onto the opacity and pterygium. This will induce tearing; wipe it away with cotton. Allow all the foul discharge to drain out. Use once daily. As the foul discharge is expelled, the lesion will gradually become thinner and eventually heal. One must use high-quality white alum, not Jiangfan (Red Alum); the color should be bright and pure. This is the method for treating eye diseases.
Prescription for removing opacity:
Take Beizi (Concha Arcae, 10 pieces, calcined and powdered).
Pound and sieve this single ingredient. Apply an amount the size of a broad bean to the opacity, twice a day. The patient should lie supine while someone applies the medicine. Maintain this position for the time it takes to cook one shi (approx. 6-10 kg) of rice, then wipe clean. If pterygium is present, add Zhenzhu (Pearl) in equal proportion to Beizi, and grind into a powder.
Jueming Decoction for Washing Eyes to Treat Blurred Vision:

Decoct the above five ingredients in 8 he of water using gentle heat until 3 he remains. Cool the liquid. Use cotton to soak and wash the eyes, three times a day.
Prescription for Treating Eye Cloudiness Caused by Guest Heat from the Five Zang Organs Ascending (or External Wind-Cold Invasion):
Take Difuzi (Kochia Fruit, 0.5 liang or 2 he in *Qianjin Fang*), Baiziren (Biota Seed, 1.5 he), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, 2 liang), Juemingzi (Cassia Seed, 5 he), Lanzi (Indigo Seed), Guazi Ren (Melon Seed), Ruiren (Buckthorn Fruit), Chongweizi (Leonurus Fruit), Qingxiangzi (Celosia Seed), Jili Zi (Tribulus Fruit, each 2 he), Tusizi (Dodder Seed, 1 he or 2 he in *Qianjin Fang*), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, 1.5 liang, from Xuanzhou), Xixin (Asarum, 1 he or 1 liang 6 zhu in *Qianjin Fang*), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig, 0.7 fen), and Yinghuo (Firefly, 1 he or 6 zhu in *Qianjin Fang*).
Pound and sieve the above fifteen ingredients. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 15 pills after meals, three times a day.
Prescription for Treating Eye Dimness Due to Excessive Heat in the Liver and Diaphragm:
Take Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Daqing (Isatidis Folium/Folium Isatidis), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, each 3 liang), Shegan (Belamcanda Rhizome), Sheng Xuanshen (Scrophularia Root, 4 liang), Qiangweigen Baidi (Rose Root Bark, each 4 liang), and Mi (Honey, 1 sheng).
Cut the above seven ingredients coarsely. Decoct in 7 sheng of water until 1.5 sheng remains. Strain the decoction, add honey, and boil twice. Sip and swallow slowly.
Prescription for Night Blindness (Treating Inability to See at Dusk):
Take Zhu Gan (Pig Liver, one whole).
Cut finely and decoct in 10 dou of water until cooked. Place in a vessel with a small opening. While hot, hold the eyes over the vessel opening, keeping them wide open and not blinking. Reheat when cool. Continue until healed.
Prescription for Eye Dimness After Feasting on Five Pungent Spices Within 100 Days Following Recovery from a Heat Disease:
Use Ji Yu (Crucian Carp) for fumigation therapy, following the previous method. This is effective.
Tuogan San (Rabbit Liver Powder) for Treating Blindness:
Take Tu Gan (Rabbit Liver, roasted), Shidan (Chalcanthite), Beichi (Concha Margaritifera), Mangxiao (Mirabilite), Ruiren (Buckthorn Fruit), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Fanshi (Alum, calcined), Songye (Pine Needle), Yinghuo (Firefly), Juhua (Chrysanthemum Flower), Difuzi (Kochia Fruit), and Juemingzi (Cassia Seed, each 1 fen).
Powder the above twelve ingredients after meals. Take half a qianbi (small spoonful). If ineffective, gradually increase the dose. Do not discontinue the medication. If stopped for three days, it is equivalent to never having taken it. After recovery, regular consumption is still recommended.
Prescription for Treating Red and Dim Eyes Due to Wind-Phlegm Accumulation in the Chest:

Cut the above twelve ingredients coarsely. Decoct in 9 sheng of water until 2.5 sheng remains. Strain and divide into three doses. (*Note: Qianjin Fang includes Dahuang 4 liang and Shengma 3 liang, but excludes Mangxiao, Fangfeng, and Xixin; this formula is named Xiegan Tang/Liver-Purging Decoction*.)

Take Manjingzi (Vitex Fruit, 1 dou).
Wash thoroughly. Decoct in 4 dou of water from dawn to noon. Discard the liquid, replace with fresh water, and decoct again. Repeat this process until evening, discard, replace, and decoct again until dawn. Dry the fruit in the sun. Store in a cloth bag. Pound 3 sheng at a time. Take 1 fangcunbi (square-inch spoonful) mixed with rice gruel juice, three times a day. Accompany with good wine according to preference.
