Six Formulas
Formula for all wind-cold qi and myriad diseases:
Jiumo (Yeast Powder, 5 sheng) Yanmo (Salt Powder, 1.5 sheng)
The above two ingredients are thoroughly pounded and divided into five bags. In the morning, take two bags, stir-fry until hot, place each 1 sheng into thin bags, put the medicine inside, and alternate holding them. Lie indoors, tread on the bags with feet, cover with a quilt to induce sweating. If the medicine cools, replace it. On the first day and night, stir-fry ten times. Subsequently, stir-fry frequently and tread continuously day and night without pause. Once the medicine cools, its efficacy diminishes; discard it and use new material. Only stop when sweating is complete throughout the body, then the disease will heal. Special care is needed; wait many days until sweating is complete before stopping. Occasionally, there may be restlessness while the powder is not exhausted; only eat fragrant porridge and rice, strictly avoiding raw and cold foods. Lie on a bed covered with several layers of cooked sheepskin to vent wind and sweat completely, then begin tonification. Do not use if the pulse in the three positions is weak.
Tonifying Wine Formula:
Shiwei (Pyrosma Leaf, 10 liang, remove hairs) Shinan (Photinia Leaf, 3 liang, roasted) Xianlingpi (Epimedium Herb, 14 liang) Xixin (Asarum Root, 5 liang)
The above four ingredients are cut, mixed with 1 dou of water, decocted to obtain 2 sheng, filtered, and clarified overnight. Almond 1 sheng, remove skin, tips, and double kernels, pound, mix with 8 sheng of water, grind to extract juice, decoct to obtain 2.5 sheng. Leave overnight. Mix the two juices to obtain 4.5 sheng. Use 1.5 dou of dry Jiuku (yeast starter). First soak the yeast in Wujia Pi (Acanthopanacis Cortex) juice, leave overnight. Then add the Shiwei etc. juice, mix together. Divide 7 sheng of Setaria Germen (millet) into seven portions, add one portion every three days. It ripens in 39 days. Take 1 sheng of Hemp Seed, select cleanly, stir-fry until fragrant and ripe, pound into powder, place in a silk bag, and immerse in the wine. After three days, take small amounts according to capacity, until effective. The days of tonification equal the days of treading the yeast. During tonification, do not leave the house for urination or defecation. Avoid sexual activity and emotional extremes. If taboos are violated and relapse occurs, it will be difficult to heal.
Sheep Stomach, Liver, Kidney, Heart, Lung (one set, wash the white part of the stomach with hot water, finely slice the remaining organs raw) Niusu (Bovine Butter) Hujiao (Black Pepper) Biba (Long Pepper Fruit, each 1 liang)
Chixin (Fermented Soybean Core, half sheng) Congbai (Scallion White, three handfuls, remove roots, finely slice)

Mix with the organs and remaining juice, place into the sheep stomach, tie the mouth tightly with rope. Make another silk bag slightly smaller than the sheep stomach and boil it. When cooked, remove while hot, pierce holes with a knife and silk bag, drain the juice. Take on an empty stomach until finished. The remainder can be made into soup or porridge as desired. If no internal organs are used:
Raw Sheep Bone (two pieces, broken)
Decoct with 1 shi of water over low heat to obtain 3 sheng. Prepare as food, make into soup or porridge as desired. Those who do not eat meat can supplement with oil and flour.
