After brief recovery, symptoms recur; this is named *Zixian* (Eclampsia of Pregnancy). Treatment uses: Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus), Gegen (Puerariae Radix), Danpi (Moutan Cortex, remove heart), Mufangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Caulis), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex), Fuling (Poria), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried) each 2 liang; Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) each 3 liang. The formula uses: Zhuli (Bambusae Sap), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) each 3 liang; Fuling (Poria) 4 liang. Add 4 sheng of water to the above herbs, boil together with Zhuli until reduced to 2 sheng, divide into three doses. If not cured, prepare again.

Several months into pregnancy, if swelling appears on the face, eyes, body, and limbs due to flooding of fetal qi, this is named *Zizhong* (Edema of Pregnancy). The formula uses: Dafupi (Arecae Pericarpium), Shengjiangpi (Zingiberis Pericarpium), Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex), Fulingpi (Poria with Hostwood), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Zisu (Perillae Folium) each 3 zhu; Dazao (Jujubae Fructus) 3 pieces. At seven or eight months of pregnancy, if a woman climbs high to fetch objects, the fetus may turn head-down in the abdomen. Its mouth detaches from what it contains, causing it to cry out; this is named *Ziming* (Crying of the Fetus). Treatment does not require medication. Instead, take a handful of beans, scatter them on the ground, and have the woman bend down to pick them up. When the beans are exhausted, the condition will cease spontaneously.
