The *Yellow Emperor's Classic of Acupuncture* (Huangdi Zhenjing), in the chapter "Water Swelling" (Shuizhang), states: "What is Changqin (intestinal polypoid mass)?" Qibo replied: "Cold pathogen invades outside the intestines, struggling with Wei Qi (defensive qi). Consequently, Wei Qi fails to circulate and nourish properly, becoming obstructed. Thus, a Jia mass (abdominal lump) forms and adheres internally, causing evil qi to arise, leading to the growth of flesh/polyps. Initially, it is as large as a chicken egg, gradually increasing in size until it resembles pregnancy when mature. If prolonged for over a year, it feels firm upon pressure but can be moved by pushing. Menstruation still occurs on time; this is its clinical presentation. 'Chang' refers to the Large Intestine; 'Qin' means extension or spreading. The Large Intestine is responsible for conducting waste and is the Fu organ of the Lung. The Lung governs Wei Qi. Wei Qi belongs to Qi; it dissipates when heated and coagulates when cooled. Now, cold pathogen resides in the Large Intestine, so Wei Qi cannot nourish properly, becomes obstructed, and forms a Jia mass adhering internally. This condition persists for a long time, hence named Changqin. When Qi scatters, it is clear; when Qi gathers, it is turbid. Condensing into a Jia mass causes evil qi to arise and flesh to grow. Gradually enlarging, the abdomen distends like pregnancy at maturity. This indicates pathology in Qi while Blood remains unaffected; thus, menstruation does not cease but occurs on time. This is originally not pregnancy, which can be distinguished by these signs."
[Lu Wan (Dew Pill)] Treats internal injury by cold, where Qi stagnates and fails to flow, condensing outside the intestines to form a Jia mass over time, accompanied by intermittent pain and inability to extend the waist.

Take 20–30 pills per dose, administered with ginger decoction or wine. Take on an empty stomach or before meals.
