治小儿重舌 用黄柏末和苦竹沥，点舌上。
又方 用乱发烧灰为末，敷舌上。
又方 用乌贼鱼骨烧灰和鸡子黄敷之。
又方 用针刺去恶血即愈。
又方 用蒲黄涂之亦瘥。
治小儿舌肿塞口欲满者 用紫雪一分，竹沥半合，研匀，频置口中，以尽为度。
治儿初生，舌下有膜，如石榴子连于舌根 可摘断之，微有血无害；如血不止，烧发灰
掺之；若不摘断，令儿长大言语不利。
治小儿白屑满舌，状如鹅口 用发缠指头，蘸井花水拭舌上；如不脱，浓煮栗木汁，以
绵缠箸头蘸拭，却用 过黄丹掺之。
又方 用朱砂、白矾等分为末。先以乱发缠指，揩舌上令净，以末敷之。
治小儿口疮通白及风疳疮蚀透者 用白僵蚕炒黄为末，蜜和敷之立效。
治小儿心有客热，满口生疮 用天南星末，醋调贴脚心。
又方 用吴茱萸为末，米醋调涂脚心亦可。
又方 用黄连为末，蜜水调服。
治小儿口生烂疮 用 羊生乳含之，瘥。
又方 用桑皮中白汁敷之便愈。
治小儿口疮，饮乳不得 用白矾如鸡子大，置好醋一盏中，频涂儿足底即愈。
又方 用硝石为末掺疮，日三五度。亦治重舌。
又方 用巴豆一、二粒去壳研烂，入朱砂或黄丹少许，贴在囟上，如四边起小泡，便用
温水洗去药，更用菖蒲水洗之甚效。
To treat infant "double tongue" (swelling of the tongue resembling a double layer), mix *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbai) powder with *Bambusae Caulis Juice* (Kuzhuli), and apply it to the surface of the tongue.
Another prescription: Burn disordered hair to ash, grind into fine powder, and apply to the tongue.
Another prescription: Burn cuttlefish bone (*Sepiae Endoconcha*, Wumeiyu Gu) to ash, mix with egg yolk (*Ovi Galli Albumen*, Jizihuang), and apply.
Another prescription: Prick with a needle to drain evil blood; the condition will resolve immediately.
Another prescription: Apply *Polygoni Citrini Herba* (Puhuang) to the affected area; it will also heal.
To treat infants whose tongues are swollen and obstructing the mouth, nearly filling it: Use one part *Zixue* (Purple Snow), half a he of *Bambusae Caulis Juice* (Zhulü), grind them evenly, and frequently place in the mouth until exhausted.
For newborns with a membrane under the tongue, resembling a pomegranate seed connected to the root of the tongue: It can be severed; slight bleeding is harmless. If bleeding does not stop, sprinkle burnt hair ash on it. If not severed, it may cause speech impediments as the child grows.
To treat infants with white flakes covering the tongue, resembling "goat's mouth" (thrush): Wrap hair around the finger, dip in well water (Jinghua Shui), and wipe the tongue. If the flakes do not detach, boil chestnut wood juice (*Castanea Millensis* juice) thickly, wrap cotton around the chopstick tip, dip in the juice, and wipe. Afterwards, sprinkle refined *Calamina* (Guohuo Huangdan) powder over it.
Another prescription: Mix *Cinnabaris* (Zhusha) and *Alumen* (Baifan) in equal parts, grind into powder. First, wrap disordered hair around the finger to clean the tongue thoroughly, then apply the powder.
To treat infant oral ulcers that are white throughout, and wind-related gan ulcers that have eroded through: Stir-fry *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Baijiangcan) until yellow, grind into powder, mix with honey, and apply; immediate effect is expected.
To treat infants with exogenous heat in the Heart meridian, causing ulcers all over the mouth: Mix *Arisaemae Rhizoma* (Tiannanxing) powder with vinegar and apply to the soles of the feet.
Another prescription: Grind *Evodiae Fructus* (Wuzhuyu) into powder, mix with rice vinegar, and apply to the soles of the feet.
Another prescription: Grind *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian) into powder, mix with honey-water, and take orally.
To treat infants with rotting ulcers in the mouth: Contain sheep milk (*Ovis Aries Lac*, Yangshengru); it will heal.
Another prescription: Apply the white sap from mulberry bark (*Mori Cortex*, Sangpi); it will heal quickly.
To treat infant oral ulcers preventing breastfeeding: Take alum (*Alumen*, Baifan) the size of an egg, place it in a cup of good vinegar, and frequently rub the soles of the infant's feet; it will heal.
Another prescription: Grind *Natrii Sulfas* (Xiaoshi) into powder and sprinkle on the ulcers, three to five times daily. This method also treats double tongue.
Another prescription: Take one or two seeds of *Crotonis Fructus* (Badou), remove the shell, grind into a paste, add a small amount of *Cinnabaris* (Zhusha) or *Calamina* (Huangdan), and apply to the anterior fontanelle (Xinshang). If small blisters appear around the edges, wash off the medicine with warm water, then wash with *Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma* (Changpu) water; this is very effective.
