Tuina Manual of Clarified and Corrected Methods (Li Zheng An Mo Yao Shu)
Figure of the Yin Palm (Note)
The "Yin Palm" refers to the dorsum of the hand. The center of the dorsum is called Waigong (Outer Laogong), which corresponds to the Bagua acupoints on the Yang Palm (palmar surface) and belongs to the Outer Bagua category. Posterior to the web space between the thumb and index finger is Hegu (LI-4); posterior to Hegu is Gancai. At the distal end of the wrist joint lies Yiwo Feng; superior to Yiwo Feng is Jingning, inferior is Weiling, posterior is Yangchi, further posterior is Waiguan (TE-5), and further posterior is Waijianshi. At the cubital fossa is Quchi (LI-11); at the tip of the elbow bend is Douzhou. Approximately one leek-leaf width lateral to the corner of the thumbnail on the thumb is Shaoshang (LU-11). The depression between the metacarpal bones of the index and middle fingers is Ershamen; the depression between the metacarpal bones of the middle and ring fingers is also Ershamen. Posterior to the four fingers is Erlen Shangma. The transverse crease at the middle phalanx of the five fingers constitutes Wuzhijie. These numerous acupoint names supplement those not recorded in the *Tongren* (Silver Man Acupuncture Classic).
Figure of the Foot
The acupoints on the foot that are already illustrated in the *Tongren* are not annotated here again. Only Laolong is located at the apex of the second toe; Xiedai (also known as Pucan) is located posterior to the heel. Neiwaiguiyan (Inner and Outer Ghost Eye) points are located anterior to the knee (outer) and posterior to the knee (inner), respectively. These are included to supplement the gaps in the *Tongren*.
Figure of Pushing Kangong
This method is suitable for treating both exogenous and endogenous diseases. The practitioner uses both thumbs, dipping them in sesame oil mixed with ginger and scallion juice during spring and summer, and pushing from the glabella laterally towards both sides.
Figure of Pushing Zanzhu
This method is suitable for treating both exogenous and endogenous diseases. The practitioner uses both thumbs, dipping them in water during spring and summer, or in sesame oil mixed with ginger and scallion juice during autumn and winter, and pushing vertically upwards from the glabella in an alternating motion.
Figure of Double Phoenix Spreading Wings
This method is specifically indicated for Cold invading the Lung Meridian. The practitioner uses the middle and index fingers of both hands to twist and lift the tips of the child's ears upward three times. Subsequently, the practitioner pinches Chengjiang (CV-24), then pinches both cheeks, followed by Tinghui (GB-2), Taiyin, Taiyang, Glabella, and Renzhong (GV-26) acupoints.
