Shaoshang (LU11) is located on the medial side of the thumb, near the nail bed. Insert the needle to a depth of approximately 2 fen (about 0.2 cun), similar to the width of a leek leaf. Press from the arm towards the needling site to induce bleeding; symptoms will subside. If pus has formed, it is necessary to needle the affected area to drain the pus, otherwise the condition cannot be cured.
