Zhu Danxi treated a woman who had a mass protruding from the vaginal opening resembling the uterus, with a pointed tip, weighing approximately one jin (approx. 500g). Fortunately, lochia was not completely exhausted and her constitution was deficient. He urgently prescribed Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), and Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) each at 5 fen, along with Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) each at 1 qian, decocted in water. After taking three doses consecutively, the protrusion retracted and she recovered.
He also treated a young woman whose chest ulcerated into a fistula, discharging pus and blood that corresponded with what she coughed up from her mouth. She recovered after being treated with Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), combined with herbs for clearing heat and expelling pus.
He treated a young man whose penis was erect and elongated, then became swollen and flaccid, with loose, moist skin, making it difficult to walk due to friction against the thighs. Qi rushed upward from both legs, and his hands and feet were weak and fatigued. Initially, he administered Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction) with added Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) in a large dose to clear damp-heat, with a small addition of Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) to descend the rebellious qi. The swelling gradually subsided, but hard lumps within the penis remained. He used Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) as the chief herb, assisted by wind-dispersing herbs ground into powder for internal use, and externally applied Sichua gourd juice mixed with Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis) powder, leading to recovery.
A patient had a Ding sore (carbuncle-like lesion) growing inside the ear, the size of a date pit, causing severe pain upon movement. Fire wine was dripped into the ear, and while the patient held their head tilted back for a moment, the lesion was extracted with forceps to remove the root. (This condition is named Er Zhi [Ear Hemorrhoid].)
Another patient had a penis glans swollen as large as a measuring cup, shiny like a fish bladder. He was treated with Er Chen Tang (Two-Cured Decoction) supplemented with Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), and Muli (Ostreae Concha), decocted in water. He recovered after two doses.
A young man on his wedding night desired intercourse, but his wife refused. Frustrated, he suffered from impotence for five to seven days. Burnt residue of a worn-out brush head was mixed with wine and taken on an empty stomach at a dose of 1 qian, resulting in immediate erection.
A woman, after her fetus died in utero, had amenorrhea for half a year. One day, sudden lower abdominal pain occurred, with a stone-hard mass blocking the vaginal orifice, causing unbearable pain. Physicians could not identify the condition. Qinglin stated: "This is Shi Jia [Stone Mass]." He prescribed Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) added with Taoren (Prunus Semen), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Yuanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizoma), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), and Xuexue (Draconis Sanguis). After two doses of the decoction, she recovered.
A patient developed a small sore at the nail corner of the left ring finger, initially the size of a hemp seed. It was opened with a small knife, causing bleeding from the wound like urine that did not stop. Within a day and night, a fungous tumor grew around the finger. A pore opened at the top, moving like an eye; this was identified as Ding Du (Ding Toxin). Forty moxa cones were burned on the lesion without sensation of pain or itch. It was cauterized again, the tumor was excised, Shou Ding San (Carbuncle-Absorbing Powder) was applied, covered with a plaster externally, and Jiedu Tang (Detoxifying Decoction) was taken internally. Recovery occurred after seven days.
