Suquan Wan (Bladder-Containing Pill) is highly effective. Due to deficiency of Qi in the bladder (Paofu), frequent urination occurs, exceeding one hundred times a day and night. Use Yi Zhi Ren (Alpinia oxyphylla Fructus) and Tian Tai Wu Yao (Tiantai Lindera Root) of arm-thick size in equal parts. Pound into powder, boil Shan Yao (Dioscorea opposita Rhizome) in wine to make a paste for binding, form pills the size of Sophora seeds (Wutongzi). Take 50–70 pills with salted wine before sleep.

A sixteen-year-old girl developed a malignant growth on the soft skin of her wrist, sized like a soybean, half embedded in the flesh, red-purple in color, causing severe pain; various medicines were ineffective. A local practitioner instructed her to purchase four taels of Mercury (Shuiyin), rub two sheets of white paper until soft, dip them in mercury, and wipe the lesion for three days until it fell off naturally, resulting in recovery.

A patient suffering from Lao Zhai (consumption/tuberculosis) for two years experienced unbearable abdominal pain if no meat was consumed for a day. As the condition became critical, fearing contagion, his family isolated him in an empty room to await natural death. After three days without meat, he fried and ate chicken eggs himself. Upon the eggs being cooked, he suddenly sneezed, and two red threads, approximately one chi long, emerged from his nostrils into the iron pot. He covered the pot with a bowl and continued boiling; upon inspection, these were identified as Lao Chong (parasites), after which he recovered.

A man who had loved alcohol since childhood would shout incessantly whenever deprived of it for even a moment, losing all appetite and becoming increasingly emaciated. Someone tied his hands to a pillar, showed him wine but did not let him drink. He then vomited an object resembling a pig's liver into the wine vessel, after which he calmed down and lost all desire for alcohol.

A young woman doing needlework near a window suddenly suffered from severe headache unresponsive to medication. A physician observed geese kept outside the window and deduced that Goose Lice (E Shi) had flown into her ear, biting and causing pain. He poured concentrated decoction of Rice Straw (Dao Gan) into the ear; the lice died and exited, relieving the pain.

For those suffering from Leg Muscle Cramp (Zhu Jin), silently reciting the characters "Mu Gua" (Chaenomeles fruit) seventy-seven times leads to recovery.

For any insect entering the ear: if in the left ear, tightly block the right ear with your hand and force air into the left ear; the insect will exit spontaneously, which is the best method.

For dust or foreign objects irritating the eye: use your hand to hold the eyelids open and spit forcefully several times into the eye; the object will be expelled without needing someone to blow on it.

Cat Placenta (Mao Tai Yi), dried in the shade while retaining its medicinal properties, taken with wine, is extremely effective for treating Ge Ye disease (dysphagia/esophageal obstruction). It is said that cats eat their placenta immediately after giving birth. To obtain it, one must retrieve it promptly during parturition; otherwise, it will be eaten.
