A woman suffered from wet tinea between her thighs, measuring four or five cun in length. It was extremely itchy when active, and intensely painful after the itching subsided. A sharp needle was used to prick the lesion over a hundred times during the peak of itching to drain all the blood, followed by washing with salt water. This process was repeated three or four times until cured. This is because dampness invades internally, and bloodletting (Bian therapy) is necessary to remove the stagnant blood.
