上共捣烂围之。留顶。药上盖纸。周时一换。

陈小粉。不拘分两。年久者佳。炒黄黑色。研以陈米醋。调熬如黑漆状。瓦罐收用。纸

上药各取净末。和匀研细。蜜酒葱汁调敷。每药末一钱。加入真川贝二分。芒硝四厘。

陈京墨（醋磨汁）每墨汁半小杯。和入猪胆汁一小匙。生姜蘸。频涂患处。定痛消肿神

上药等分。葱汁醋卤熬稠。调敷。

各取净末。研至无声为度。用葱汁黄蜜调敷。
(Treats back carbuncle (Fabei), carbuncles and sores, breast abscess, and all external wound conditions. At the initial stage, it can disperse the swelling; if already formed, applying it three times will reduce the size, expel toxins, and lead to recovery.)
Fresh Shanyue (5 liang, kept away from water) Tuzhu Pine resin White rock sugar (1 liang each) Whole Scorpion (10 pieces)
Pound all ingredients together until paste-like, apply around the affected area leaving the top open. Cover with paper and change once every shichen (2 hours).

Chen Xiaofen (aged mung bean starch). Quantity is flexible; aged material is preferred. Stir-fry until yellow-black, grind into powder, mix with aged rice vinegar, and boil until resembling black lacquer. Store in a clay jar. Apply by spreading on paper.
(Treats qi stagnation and blood stasis, early-stage carbuncles and sores that are hard and can be dispersed.)
Polygala Root (3 qian each) True Chrysanthemum Leaf (3 qian) Schizonepeta Fruit Salvia Miltiorrhiza Root (5 fen each)
Take pure powders of the above herbs, mix evenly, and grind finely. Mix with honey, wine, and scallion juice for topical application. For every 1 qian of herb powder, add 2 fen of real Sichuan Fritillaria Bulb and 4 li of Niter.
(Treats all boils and furuncles with redness, swelling, and unbearable pain.)
Aged Jingmo Ink (ground with vinegar into juice). Take half a small cup of ink juice, mix with one small spoon of pig bile. Dip fresh ginger into the mixture and frequently apply to the affected area. It is a miraculous remedy for relieving pain and reducing swelling.

Mix the powders of each ingredient evenly. For every 1 liang of herb powder, add 4 fen of real Musk. Mix with scallion juice and wine for topical application.

Raw Arisaema Rhizome Raw Rheum Palmatum Rhizome Northern Asarum Rhizome
Use equal parts of the above herbs. Boil with scallion juice, vinegar, and brine until thick. Mix and apply topically.

Hibiscus Mutabilis Leaf, or root or flower. Fresh ones are pounded into a paste; dried ones are ground into powder. Adzuki beans are ground into powder. Use equal parts, mix with honey, and apply around the periphery, leaving the center top open.
