Use powder of Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou) mixed with Egg White (Jiziqing) for topical application.

Pueraria Root (Gegen), Honeysuckle Leaf (Yinjinye), Moutan Cortex (Danpi) (each 1 qian), Perilla Leaf (Zisuye), Bupleurum Root (Chaihu) (each 8 fen), Malt (Maiya), Summer Qu (Xiaqu), Jian Qu (Jianqu) (each half), Red Peony Root (Chishao).
Guided by one fresh lotus leaf, half a wine cup of Reed Rhizome Juice (Lugenju), 4 fen of dried Coriander (Hucui). If fresh lotus leaf is unavailable, substitute with 1 qian of Mulberry Sprout (Sangya). When the first spots appear, administer three doses.
Follow with two more doses.
Replace Perilla Leaf with Perilla Rice (Sujing, 8 fen); replace Stir-fried Schizonepeta (Chao Jingjie) with Platycodon Root (Jiegeng, 1.2 qian); reduce Red Poria (Chiling) to 1 qian; replace Honeysuckle Leaf with Honeysuckle Flower (Yinjinhua, 1.5 qian); remove Red Peony Root guide; remove Fresh [ingredient].

Five-grain Insect (Wuguchong) (1 qian, roasted dry on tile), Seed of Quince (Shijunzi) meat (five slices, roasted) in equal parts, stir-fried and ground into powder. Use red dates, remove skin and pits, boil until soft, and form pills.
For every 1 qian of powder, use two dates. Each pill weighs 1.5 qian. Take with clear rice water.
Another prescription for pediatric malnutrition: Use Chicken Gizzard Membrane (Jineijin) without letting it touch water. Scrape it off, roast to ash, and grind finely. Mix with brown sugar and consume. Cure occurs in two or three doses.
Another method: Take one large Toad (Chan). Place it in a bottle, seal with paper. After seven days, wash fresh Five-grain Insects (Wuguchong) clean and put them into the bottle, allowing the toad to eat them all completely.
Cinnabar (ZhuSha) (3 fen, ground to powder), Mirabilite (Puxiao), Chicken Gizzard Membrane (Jineijin) (each 5 qian). Grind together and mix evenly. Take 3 fen per dose. Human Tooth Stone (Renzhongbai) 4 fen. Decoct in water to make a soup, mix with the powder, and take orally.
Coptis Rhizome (Chuanhuanglian), Licorice Root (Gancao) (each 3 qian), Walnut (Hutao) (seven whole, shell included, smashed). Decoct twice in water. Filter the clear liquid, simmer into an ointment/paste. Take orally four to five times daily. Each time, take four to five spoonsful. For severe cases, two courses of treatment result in complete recovery.
