When a couple engages in sexual intercourse, severe pain occurs in the vaginal orifice (Yinhu). Boil Diyu (Sanguisorbae Radix) in wine and take it orally.

If sores develop in the vaginal orifice and various medications are ineffective, it is named "Small Intestine Wind" (Xiaochang Feng). Use Tongcao (Akebiae Caulis), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Gaoben (Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), Guanzhong (Cyathulae Rhizoma), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Gansong (Nardostachyos Radix et Rhizoma), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba), and Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) in equal parts. Decoct with water to obtain two bowls of liquid, add Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), and wash the affected area for significant efficacy. If the condition persists for a long time and transforms into polyps ("Jun"), causing extreme itching that makes one wish to die, use this same prescription for washing. For individuals with weak constitutions using this wash, it is advisable to first administer Shiquan Dabu Tang (Decoction for Ten-Absolutely Tonifying) for two to three doses.

If polyps grow in the vaginal orifice, it is appropriate to greatly tonify Qi and Blood. Use Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Dangguishen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis - Root Part), reduce the dosage of Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), and include ten centipedes (Wugong). If pain and itching persist for years and are unbearable, the pathology is due to parasites. Insert a chicken leg into the vagina, or insert cooked pork liver, and also wash with the aforementioned prescription.

For women suffering from breast swelling and pain, roast Biejia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum), grind it into powder, and take 1.5 qian with wine. Cure after three doses.

During pregnancy, treatment should focus on regulating Qi. Ingredients include Tiaoqin (Huangqin/Coptidis Rhizoma), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Zisu (Perillae Folium), and Sharen (Amomi Fructus). If there is phlegm and belching, add Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium); if Blood deficiency, add Dangguishen; if hypochondriac pain and abdominal discomfort due to rebellious Liver Fire, add Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) or Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride); if there is threat of miscarriage, add Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma); if nausea, add Baizhi; if lower back pain, add Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex); if bleeding appears, add Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix) and Aye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium); if deficient, add Renshen; if abdominal pain, remove Tiaoqin and add Wuyu (Evodiae Fructus); if constipation, increase the dosage of Zisu; if dysuria, add Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma); if malaria, add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix); if dysentery, remove Baizhu and combine with Huangqin Shaoyao Tang (Decoction of Coptis and Peony), adding Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) and Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma); if malaria and dysentery occur simultaneously, remove Zisu and add Chaihu, Muxiang, and Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma). Near term, if there is a tendency for premature delivery, use Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction) without Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), adding Zisu, Tiaoqin, and Sharen. If the fetus is large, add San liang of Huanyangnao (Yangmuspermum Fructus). Note: Huanyangnao has blood-breaking and Qi-dispersing properties and is not suitable for preventing premature delivery.

To calm the fetus during pregnancy, Siwu Tang (Four-Substance Decoction) should not be used. Siwu Tang treats excess in Blood but does not treat deficiency in Blood. For pregnant women with nausea and vomiting, add Sugeng (Perillae Caulis), Sharen, and Baizhu to Huangqin Shaoyao Tang. For both constipation and dysuria, Sugeng is appropriate. For external contraction of Cold Damage, malaria, or dysentery, treat according to standard medical practices. Because a pregnant woman, if she has an existing pathogen, will not harm the fetus, and toxic drugs will not cause obstruction. Generally, if illness arises due to pregnancy, calming the fetus is primary; if the fetus is unsettled due to illness, treating the illness is urgent. Therefore, toxic drugs can be used during pregnancy. If the pulse is weak and there are exterior symptoms in early pregnancy, Renshen should also be used, as the fetus relies on Qi for stability.

Whenever a pregnant woman suffers from abdominal pain, irritability, and heat, use Baizhu to assist Tiaoqin. If the chest and diaphragm feel tight, add Sharen. Since Sharen enters the Spleen and calms the Stomach, and its nature is cool, it is most effective at calming the fetus. If the chest remains tight after taking Sharen, add Zisu to promote the development of Zong Qi (Gathering Qi), thereby widening the chest.

If a pregnant woman's condition is urgent and one must resort to resolving phlegm and draining Qi, urgency is preferred over slowness; urgency allows the medicine to disperse easily, while slowness leads to stagnation. Stagnation causes Qi disorders and may injure the fetus.

In early pregnancy, if the chest and diaphragm are tight, abdominal pain occurs, and appetite is lost, use Baizhu, Huangqin, Gancao, Zisu, Chenpi, and Sharen. Decoct with water and take. Cure after two doses. If there is food stagnation, remove Huangqin; if epigastric pain, remove Baizhu and add Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus).

For lower back pain during pregnancy, grind Duzhong and Xuduan into powder, make pills with Lujiaojiao (Colla Cornus Deeri), and swallow with wine.

Five types of fetal-calming prescriptions: PoGu (Psoraleae Fructus), Xuduan, Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), and Chuanbi (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma) each 1 qian; Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus) and Duzhong each 2 qian. Make honey pills, take 50-60 pills with wine. If fetal Qi disharmony causes chest distension, send down with Zisu Tang (Perilla Leaf Decoction) mixed with about 1 qian of Sharen powder.

For malaria during pregnancy, use Chaihu, Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Huangqin, Gancao, Baizhu, Shouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), and Qingpi. If malaria is severe, add Renshen; if vomiting, add Huoxiang (Agastaches Herba).

For dysentery during pregnancy, use Huangqin, Baishao, Gancao, Zhike, and Fuling (Poria). If chest fullness and oppression occur, add Zisu, Chenpi, and Sharen; if hematemesis, add Zhizi and Yuanyanrou (Longan Arillus); if epilepsy, add Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), Fushen (Poria cum Radix), and Zaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen); if vomiting and diarrhea, use Sijunzi Tang (Four-Gentlemen Decoction) with Jiangzhi (Zingiberis Juice) and Chenpi; if dizziness, add Siwu Tang.

At two months of initial pregnancy, if fetal Qi disharmony causes abdominal distension and spitting of clear fluid, use Baizhu, Huangqin, and Zisu each 1 qian; Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) and Guipi (Cinnamomi Cortex) each 2 fen; Gancao and Huoxiang each 1 fen. Decoct with ginger and water. Avoid raw and cold foods. If dysuria, add Chishao and Cheqian (Plantaginis Semen); if severe vomiting, add Paojiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum); if headache, add Chuanxiong; if tidal fever, add Chaihu and Qianhu (Peucedani Radix).

At five to six months, if uterine leakage with bleeding occurs and the lower abdomen feels tense, use Dangguishen, Baizhu, and Tiaoqin each 1 qian; Renshen 3 fen; Huoxiang 5 fen; Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Chaihu, and Zisu each 8 fen; Aye 20 leaves. Decoct with ginger and water, take warm.

At seven to eight months, if stabbing pain in the abdomen and leaking blood in urine occur, use Huangqin, Baizhu, Zhizi, Gancao, and Chaihu each 8 fen; Renshen 3 fen; Dengxin (Junci Medullia)... [Text incomplete].

At seven to eight months, breast swelling and pain is named "Ru Nei Chui" (Internal Blowing of Nursing).

For pregnant women with vomiting and inability to eat, where various medicines fail, use Weiyao (Litseae Fructus) as the sovereign herb, Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum) as the deputy, followed by Renshen and Gancao. Grind into fine powder. Take with fresh ginger slices (about 1 fen thick), stick the medicine to the ginger, chew in the mouth until soft, discard the ginger residue, and swallow the saliva down to the Dantian. After one hour, repeat the method. Cure after three times.

If a pregnant woman contracts "Hamawen" (a type of warm disease), with continuous diarrhea for one to two days, cold sweats in the morning, alternating chills and heat in the afternoon, frequent dizziness, and helpless abdominal borborygmi, this is due to the attack between Phlegm and Fire. Use Baizhu, Huangqin, Baishao, Gancao, Sharen, and Zexie.

For pregnant women with swollen hands and feet, it is appropriate to calm the fetus and regulate Qi. Use Dangguishen, Baizhu, Tongcao, Fangfeng, Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Chiling (Poria cum Rubro), Zhuling (Polyporus), Guipi, Gancao... [Text incomplete].

Case Record
A woman returned from a long journey, experiencing fetal Qi rushing to the heart causing pain, restlessness in sitting and lying. Various physicians diagnosed it as a dead fetus and intended to induce abortion using Bamaziren (Ricini Semen) and Shexiang (Moschus). I examined her and asked the physician what syndrome he identified. He said, "The pulses at both Chi positions are absent; it is a dead fetus." I said, "There is a distinction for dead fetuses. If the face is red and the tongue is cyan, the child is dead but the mother lives; if the face is cyan and the tongue is red with foaming at the mouth, the mother is dead but the child lives; if lips and mouth are both cyan, both mother and child are dead. Now, her face is not red and her tongue is not cyan, so the fetus is not dead. The pain rushing to the heart is 'Zixuan' (Fetal Suspension)." Prescribed Chuanxiong, Baishao, Dangguishen, Zisu, and Chenpi each 1 qian; Renshen and Gancao each 5 fen; Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) 3 slices; Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) 7 cun. Decoct and take. The fetus descended and became stable.
