Discussion states: The condition known as Zhong'e Huoluan (Sudden Collapse Cholera) is caused by external pathogenic factors invading internally, leading to a sudden disorder of the healthy Qi. This prevents the digestion of food in the stomach and causes obstruction and stagnation of the Qi mechanism, blocking its free flow. Consequently, it results in sudden pain in the heart and abdomen, vomiting and diarrhea accompanied by irritability and oppression. In severe cases, it leads to mental confusion and loss of consciousness. This condition is attributed to the action of "Ghost Qi" (a term referring to sudden, severe pathogenic factors).
